Took my girlfriend here for her birthday and they gave us a complimentary spicy salmon roll, sushi was amazing and the staff are very friendly. Would 100% recommend. We also ordered the Las Vegas and dragon roll, will definitely get them again sometime.
I had no idea what i wanted to order and the server on the phone was so helpful :) She answered all my questions about the platters and i ended up getting a small sushi maki platter. I would definitely order from here again and make sure to ask for the servers recommendations because she had lots that sounded delicious!
I ordered King Dragon, Red Dragon and Las Vegas. It was delicious. I was surprised by the size and the ingredients were fresh. I will order again.!
Inedible. A waste of money and unfortunately, having taken the route of contacting the restaurant, rather than first resorting to a poor review online, we were left with no other option than to lodge our complaint publicly.It pains me to write this, especially in these challenging times, but I have now spent $95 plus delivery and tip and have been left with nothing to eat.Sadly, when I contacted the restaurant regarding my experience they were unable, or unwilling to make proper service reparations.Now, it is obvious that some menu items just don’t travel well, and I get that. Having said that, maki and miso soup do not fall into this category.My partner and I were extremely disappointed in the quality of our food. The rice was terribly over cooked and the nori was soggy. Avocado was so overripe it was brown throughout, not simply oxidized from delivery time. One maki in particular came swimming in grease (?). I took one bite of the least offensive item, hoping to at least enjoy something, and spat it back out.We have travelled to Japan, and frequent restaurants regularly. I would legitimately eat gas station sushi before this.Hoping it was just an off night, and that this isn’t the standard offering.A real shame that the restaurant couldn’t refund our order as a gesture in good faith as it would have been greatly valued.On top of everything, a minor complaint truly, is that everything arrived in styrofoam. In this day and age I was disappointed to see this, especially knowing it impacted the overall quality of the food.My recommendation? Go enjoy Choisroll instead.
Tried to order online but the website was hijacked by someone else, possibly the precious owner.?... Visited the restaurant to place a take out order. Server was very helpful and did her best, but the quality of the food was the worst we have ever experienced. And, the most expensive. Don't be fooled by the Trip Advisor rating, the experience doesn't come close. Too bad, we could use another good sushi option downtown.
Visited Kingston this wknd and stopped by… was so happy with our meal… some of the best Sushi I tasted …. Will come back next time in town..!!!
The takeout Tonkatsu and Shoyu ramen were the worst I've ever had in my life. I have never seen katsu that dark and dry. The soups were awful. The quality should not drop just because it's a delivery order because I paid the same as if I dined in.
Price is ok. They give you 10% discount if you pay by cash. Place is nice and cozy. Server is really nice. Limited seating capacity. Food is ok. We ordered seared tuna tataki, agedash tofu, teriyaki salmon dinner and bulgogi bento less shrimp tempura because of my shellfish allergy.
