We were referred to Red House by the waitress at our Hotel. At first glance we were a bit sceptical, but decided to stay - and are so glad we did! The food was excellent, and the service too. I had the Portobello sandwich which was very delicious and satisfying (even though I am not vegan, I thoroughly enjoyed it. My nephew had the spaghetti & meatballs and Brussels sprouts and loved every bite. We both highly recommend it.
Made a reso for 4 on the patio. Good food, priced about right. There was a beer mixup (they forgot to relabel a changed out keg so my girlfriend received a different beer) but they dealt it with correctly. Some portions were smaller than you’d expect, like for the pork belly starter. Very good, though. I had the tostadas which were also tasty. Good crunch. Always enjoy coming here!
Had an amazing meal in a fantastic restaurant the other day with my lovely wife! @redhousekingston treated us to some phenomenal kimchi fries and I followed up with a pretty decent portobello burger. Big words for a meat eater. I used to live in Kingston for school and never had the opportunity to checkout Red House…until now!! I called on the day of for a group of 10 on St. Paddy’s Day weekend and to our surprise they were super quick to accommodate!! Our group had tried three different restaurants the day before so our hopes were quite low.The food was great. I was so pleasantly surprised to find a TON of veg friendly options and substitutions. Would definitely recommend to come with friends, groups or dates!!

I have never had a bad meal here, their food is great, possibly the best pub food in Kingston. (just the downtown Red House which very different from the other location). It's a bit noisy in the front, but the back part is cozy and quieter.
Great place to grab a bite and a pint. Right downtown the Red House offers a varied menu, personable and professional staff and a great selection of beverages on tap. I particularly like the open and airy feeling of this pub. It's friendly, it's family, it's comfortable. No retro, disco,rap. Just a comfortable pub you can meet friends, have a quick pint, and feel like you're part of the fam.
Went here in august and had been meaning to write a review. Those whisky/scotch/bourbon prices and selection are amazing. Also, unexpectedly had the best chicken club I have ever had in my life there. From Toronto but would go back there if I went to Kingston again.
Good cocktails and good food. Waiter was very nice as well. Would recommend enchiladas and tequila sunrise.
Went for first time to Red House. Smallish place. Extremely noisy. Took 20 minutes for drink order. Had to ask for water. Had the pasta and enchiladas. Both very bland. Must have lost their spice rack. Been there. Done that.
