I wish someone wrote on here that between the gardiners location and this one, GO TO GARDINERS!Long version:One star is for the friendly staff and well kept store space! The other star is for the chicken. All other stars deducted for mushy rice, tough beef, soggy fries, and awful falafel (the first one we bit into had a half frozen crumbly texture in the centre still).The food was so unappetizing, that we forced ourselves to eat a few bites before throwing it all out. I love Osmow’s. I’m deadly loyal to chicken on the rocks. I would happily drown in the garlic sauce. So I can’t believe I bought a large, ate less than what would be served in a regular order, and didn’t even keep leftovers cause I didn’t want to force feed myself again.So go to the RioCan location, unless you like rice disguised as mashed potatoes, dry beef, and undercooked falafel ):
Food was packed with ice cold cans of pop on the bottom with the warm food on top in the same bag so our food was wet and ice cold from the condensation. Our fries were inedible. They got thrown out immediately and said we got free baklava with an order over $25 which we never got either. With the cost of things these days, it was really disappointing to have our meal destroyed and inedible when we got to treat ourselves to a meal out. Very very poor experience. Order from somewhere else. Period.
Usually a good place and great food but today when I ordered on uber eats pickup, the guy at the counter took a few minutes to argue with me on whether or not i paid, or my order got cancelled. I literally paid on the app and when i saw their uber tablet there was no payment or cancelling issue, and the food was sitting on the counter, and i told them my name on the order so why did he act rude about it? Unfortunate experience but hopefully they change their attitude
First time trying. I was expecting the garlic sauce to taste more like other shawarma spots, like stronger garlic (ex: Shawarma Damascus). I did not like that you have to pay .75 cents each for turnips, pickles, etc, I just assumed it was included (if you wanted) for the price you pay. I’m sure other people love this spot just wanted to share my experience.
It is tasteless. Shawarma is sour in taste. It's not properly cooked. It's not good for vegetarian people.
I have been waiting forever for my order in the store. They are either understaffed or inefficient. Sad, because the food is good.
Very disappointed with my order. I ordered a Philly chicken platter and a half and half with Philly sauce. Both order missing the Philly sauce. The Philly platter is just chicken, rice, cheese and hot sauce. This is not even the first time. It has happened before. Additionally, they also forget to to give the Ceasers salad before. To top it off, it took almost 2 hrs for my order to be delivered only to find out there are missing items.
What a great location for an Osmow's to be at! Food came out at a decent pace, and they asked for your preferences in sauces before giving to you. Portions were very big and could be shared as a snack if you aren't that hungry. Right now, they have a student special and that made it even better. Staff were friendly and I was greeted by smiles.
The food quality has went way down lately and as I scrolled through the reviews I realized all the 5 stars were from his own staff! But than again I shouldn't be too surprised I've been told by a few ex employees that the owner is a drunk and talks very inappropriate to girls and his wife has zero respect for employees and is verbally abusive. Shame on both of you
They have the best shawarma in town. One amazing thing is that we get to customize our wrap and how it must be sauced. They even made my chicken extra grilled when I requested. Their popular dishes are a must try. The customer service is exceptional.
