Honestly, it's more of a 4.5 for me. It would have been a 5 if not for two things.1. The heater for my room seemed to be having issues warming up the place after a while.2. The hot water was inconsistent and would take a while to heat up as well.(The issues were still somewhat manageable)I spoke to the staff about this after my stay and said they had just renovated before the pandemic and a few guests have mentioned similar, of not the same issues but they are looking into getting the matters resolved.Other than that, the staff was great. And so was the service I received. Would still recommend this hotel as a place to stay.
I had stayed there paying about 130$ dollars. Me and my friend specifically stayed there so we could use the hot tub because we were tired and came from a long journey with little sleep. They discriminated against us and said that because we didn't have vaccine passports we couldn't use the hot tub. While there isn't a soul in the pool area. They are not allowed to ask for private medical information nor can we be forced to take a vaccine because of our medical rights of autonomy over our bodies. We were naturally vaccinated as we had already caught Covid and did not need a vaccine. We went into the pool area as there was nobody in there. The desk clerk calls the police and they arrive telling us to leave. I get out in cooperation with the police and get my phone to document what is happening and the police officer assaults me and puts his knee on my neck. We were escorted out of the hotel and we weren't given a refund.Do not go to this hotel. It is too pricey, use expedia there are tons of other options that are nice in Kingston. The hotel manager here is evil and told her employee to lie and tell the police I was aggressive and threatening when I did no such thing. She fabricated the events that took place and I do not appreciate liars. Don't give your business to this hotel, you just might be treated less than a dog.
Front desk very friendly and room was clean
Rooms are nice but don’t stay here when there’s a 10 year olds hockey team because you won’t get any sleep. Running and screaming up and down the halls at all hours of the day with no supervision. Also we had no hot water in our room.
Great Beautiful room beautiful view staff was great
There were too many things wrong with this location.Being one of the most expensive restaurants in Kingston, i was HIGHLY disappointed by the service.1. First of all when i got there, got to know that fitness centre and pool is closed (apparently they assume that after booking we would go to hotel’s website separately to see and not at booking.com)2. We checked-in to the room and the bathroom wasn’t clean at all. Hair in the bath tub and the toilet seat unclean. The front desk lady was very nice and offered us complimentary drinks and changed the room.3. Next morning when i woke up, took a bath and changed the towel, the towel had marks on it (red/brown colors). I went down and complained and was told that room can’t be cleaned since it has to be booked 24 hrs before. WOW… i said i don’t t need cleaning, just change the sheets and towels, came back to the room after 3 hours to find everything the same.I paid more than $350 for 2 days and not a single good thing that i would recommend apart from view of the lake. I make trips to kingston every month and fair to say will never choose this hotel again!
All in all a great hotel location is perfect park the car and you can walk everywhere which is nice. The room very nice and spacious we did have a corner room with harbour view it’s extra but it’s extra room and comfortable. The staff polite and friendly only downside had problems with room key every day. They do have a restaurant and swimming pool and fitness area but that was all closed.

This hotel is perfect! Just what we needed for a couples day out. The breakfast was splendid, and the dinner was romantic. There are so many activities to do here and so many restaurants to visit. I recommend this place if you're looking to go to a hotel, solo, with family, or with your partner.
When I went to check in I was so unimpressed with your front desk employees. They were so unwelcoming to us. I had requested an early check in, when I asked if there was a room available she was very rude and short with me. This happened twice as I approached the front desk. Many years ago I used to be a Corporate Sales Manager at the Holiday Inn in Toronto and our mandate when in public areas of the hotel to always have a smile and greet the guests. Did this policy fall to the wayside? If I am arriving at a hotel we should be welcomed as if it was your own home. Perhaps next time I come to Kingston because I will as I have family attending Queens I will be looking at a different hotel.
