Really excellent fish and chips. We got the haddock family meal. The fish was cooked perfectly. The batter was nice and thin and super crispy. The fish fillets were also quite large. It was perfect. Chips and coleslaw were delicious as well.10/10 will go again. Excellent value.

Fran's is one of two places that I go for fish and chips in Kingston. It is traditional and greasy and delicious, if a little on the pricey side. One of the reasons this fare was so popular in the British Isles was because it was plentiful and affordable which at $20+ per person doesn't exactly fit that bill any longer.

Dinner for 2 fed four! Fish remained super crispy. Battered mushrooms were made in house and were excellent.

We got it delivered to the East end and everything arrived still surprisingly warm. Fish (we had haddock) was excellent. Great batter, better fish - this from someone who spent most their life in Atlantic Canada. The fries were excellent, too. The family meal was phenomenal value.

They’ve gotten outrageously expensive, I paid 24$ for a double cheeseburger and a poutine. There’s probably 30 other places in Kingston I could go for the same quality of food for way less in price. Won’t be back.

Was there yesterday. I understand that they were busy. I was there around 4:30 pm I did not get my order till 5:15 I saw people come and go after me and I asked where my order was and they couldn’t find it and I paid for it. Not once did they sorry about the mixup I finally got my order will never go there again. They should of apologize

Excellent fish and chips shop, made to order. Take out only.

Went to Frans today with my parents who are visiting from Newfoundland. My dad said it was the was the best halibut he ever tasted - and he has eaten a lot of halibut!

Wanted to try, unfortunately it was closed although they are indicated to be open today - Monday at 5 pm :(

Everything I’ve had here is fantastic. The fish and chips are obviously great, but I was surprised to find the poutine is one of the best in town. Can’t recommend it enough.
