Rating is on the food alone: hash browns were a bit under cooked and I swear I've gotten larger portions at other Denny's for the eggs (American slam) compared to what I received here.Anyways, worth it for the calories and the service was good despite being very busy.
Excellent experience. The food was excellent and the portions were generous to say the least. Very clean inside, we enjoyed the open concept kitchen as well. Service was very quick and friendly. The team worked very well together, we will definitely be coming back next time we are in Kingston.
Breakfast at Denny’s Kingston for the first time since 2019. Service was beyond excellent. Our server, Scott, was the perfect person to be working a breakfast shift. His jokes left us smiling throughout the meal. Food was tasty and well prepared. Very good value. Overall excellent experience. Accessible location.
First time back to Dennys since Covid began. Candi was our server and she was awesome! Super friendly and helpful. She along with great food, made it a enjoyable time. I’m sure we’ll be back soon!
Our waitress Candi checked on us multiple times throughout our meal even though she was very busy and had many other tables she was getting orders for. Probably the best service we’ve had in a long time, even before Covid. And considering how busy it was I’m surprised how fast she came with our food and how often she came to check on us
Came in this morning with my two boys and had Candi as our waitress. She was exceptional. Super kind, super patient and amazing service. We left with full bellies and smiles on our faces. We will return soon and hopefully we have her as our server again. Thankyou so much for making this experience great!
Dennys at the RioCan Centre has been a family favourite restaurant for us for 20 years. Always good food and super friendly staff...(until recently). When the grown kids and grandkids come home we often have breakfast there just for old times sake. Every six weeks or so we go to Dennys for breakfast with friends ... a little tradition. It was marvellous when Michelle was there. She always made us feel welcome and always remembered how we took our coffee. Sometimes when you are a family restaurant it is the little things that count. She knew us and many of the customers as she had been there for years. After Michelle left e kept making excuses for the poor service and absolute crazy new rules because they were under new management... we were told by the staff. If pancakes were part of the order you could not substitute for dry toast...no substitutions at all even when what you were asking for was a cheaper product. Bottom line no customer focus. This afternoon my husband and I went in at 2:30. Although there were 5 staff around that we could see and many empty tables there were three small groups of people waiting at the front for a seat. We went in and stood at the front waiting to be recognized to get on what we assume was a waiting list for tables. 5 staff stood in front of the pick up food counter chatting absolutely ignoring us. After about 5 minutes of their continued conversation, one staff left the group and looked like she might be going to serve someone... but the conversation continued at the counter. I went over to the counter and asked if anyone was going to greet us. I was told by a lady in a yellow sweater that the hostess had gone home. My question is why cannot someone else greet us.She really did not have an excuse but she did walk away from the group as if to come to the check in desk. Since this lady was not in uniform I assume she was the manager and boy does she need some help learning about customer service. There was no apology, nothing. I guess they feel so superior the customer they do not need to treat us with any respect. It was an unbelievable experience. I am usually not a complainer and understand how busy servers can be and how demanding customers can be but this was none of that ...this was just staff being too rude to even recognize a customer. All they had to do was nod their head and recognize us... but after 5 minutes of nothing that is just too much. I will contact our friends and we can find another breakfast place to go to. As for the family we have lots of fun memories and we can make new memories somewhere else. No customer should be ignored!
This is our Dennys of choice in Kingston. I love when I come here we always see the same servers and that says a lot that on staff retention. Today we had Candy as our server and she was so great and very helpful with the menu. My son has a nut allergy and she was good to let the kitchen staff know. The food was delicious my favourite is the make your own slam breakfast. Our other favourite server is Scott! He’s very friendly and has a good sense of humour, nice to have on a Sunday morning breakfast.
Amazing service every single time! Whether I dine in, take out or even order on skip! They always send a personal note or joke along and mark my bags with my name big and clear! They even sent along a bonus piece of pie! My boys are hooked on their pancakes and I'm obsessed with the breakfast poutine. It is a great size for how cheap it is and is always delicious! Thank you guys for being the best!!
Amazing experience.Food great. Staff very friendly and helpfulCame in for breakfast before hockey tournament. Candi the server got us our food fast and we were in and out in great time.
