Such a nice place to have a lunch.Texas style restaurant with classic menu (burgers/ fajitas/ chips/ grill and etc.) Average cost.Kids menu is about 8-13cad, they get workbook with crayons, and every meal comes with drink.
Great service and food like always. Love the chips and salsa when you sit down, really hold you over till your meal comes. Fajitas are fresh and delicious. Waitress was fantastic, she topped up our chips and was very friendly and quick. Overall this is one of my favorite restaurants.
Lone Star Texas GrillWe did a family birthday dinner here, place was well organized and is perfect for large groups.We ordered some of their new cocktails which all were pretty amazing to be honest, I had the blue bulldog which nice having the Corona upside down in it.The new Nashville hot chicken fajitas were awesome, loved it.Overall great food and experience all around.Hope it remains a standard on the menu
We were a group of 14 with reservations. We were seated at two tables..possibly if this important point had been made clear to my daughter...we would have gone elsewhere. The food was good. The service was a whole other issue. The server was beyond lousy...she couldn't manage the group...had trouble with seperate bills...(that she did twice). Manager was on site and offered her no assistance...I guess he thought this large group which included 6 kids were really happy sitting for one hour waiting on our bills...I know 14 people who took Lone Star of their list of restaurants to go to...Pass on this place.
We were *that table* with a last minute reservation for 7, asking to move to the patio halfway through, and having a bunch of allergies, but everyone was so great. Our server, Todd, went above and beyond helping us move to the patio halfway through. Half of us have gluten and dairy allergies and he was knowledgeable about how everything was cooked and didn’t make us feel like a burden for the adjustments we needed. He was so kind and attentive, really great server. Go Todd Go!
The 2 stars was because of the server we had. Great service! First dish was a rib steak, horrible ! The steak was dry and vegetables were raw ?? The fajita bowl was cold and had to be reheated, not sure why they would serve it like that ? To the owners, you need more like that guy that serve us today... and please have more steak selections to accommodate meat lovers !
We went to the Kanata Lone Star for an early supper today, Sat., May 7th. The place was hopping busy! We had the pleasure of having Ace tending to our table. Ace was an extremely proficient server with a quick comedic wit, which we very much appreciated. I made mention of our son being Autistic. He took note and discreetly ensured prompt and attentive service to meet our son's needs. Taking the time to wish me a Happy Mother's Day was the 'icing on the cake"! Thanks, Ace! Thanks Lonestar!
Visited April 8, between 4:30-5:00 p.m.My second time visiting this place.Still a 5-star.Washroom is clean.Staff was courteous and polite. Server's name is Hurricane 349 (maybe this is a nickname or something)Food was tasty-- grilled steak fajitas for 2.
Chicken texture is like rubber and tough. I ordered a chicken fajita bowl today and the chicken was rubbery and cut into big chunks. Server was great and exchanged the chicken for a different piece, but the quality of chicken was off / not as good as usual. Afraid that they may have changed their supplier, if so, I won’t be ordering that meal again. Salsa and chips are always delicious.
Going make this short! Went to this location last night for a birthday dinner at 7, we were a party of 13. One of our guests wanted the nachos with ground beef and was told they couldn't make it as they were out of ground beef. Our table waiting on drinks for quite awhile and then drinks were also forgotten about. Our main meals were not cooked to as ordered and the service was extremely slow to say the least. I would also like mention that the restaurant had our party and 2 tables of 2 and there was more than enough staff to accommodate the restaurant. we all were very disappointed with our experience all around and will not be returning.
