Tasted pretty fresh, flavour is good. Disappointed on the staff now wearing masks but technically it’s okay according to the government - although not okay according to doctors.Anyways, the tables didn’t look that clean although only one of the tables had customers.Which is the only reason they get 4 stars instead of 5 stars.It’s important to keep a restaurant clean after all.
I ordered from their catering menu for a party of 15 and I have to say the food was incredibly delicious. I ordered the party package and I wasn’t expecting there to be that much chicken! The rice was great and the potatoes were absolutely amazing, as was the chicken. I also ordered a shrimp dish and some fish filets that came with a dipping sauce, all of which was delicious. Will definitely be ordering from here again!
A shame !!! we order a whole chicken and we received something that it looks more like a pigeon for $23 and it was very salty.I have been witnessing how they have been reducing the size and quality of the product and they increase the value!!!Not good, and I will not recommend it anymore.
Today I decided to stop in to Toma La for the first time. I drive by this place 3 times a day and never thought to stop in. I looked at the menu and talked my way into trying something. The staff was really nice and helpful. I ordered the cod with cheese and potatoes. I'm not sure if this is something always available, but they made it happen. IT WAS AMAZING! The dish was piping hot, cheesy, and full of taste. There was the perfect amount of salt and the olives were a nice touch on top. I cannot speak to their other items, but if you like fish... this is a must try! Perfect on those cold days. Hoping to try other items in the future.
Chicken is always grilled perfectly, potatoes are amazing and rice is yum…and that piri piri !!!! So good, but I love Portuguese food so I put that sauce on everything ☺️ customer service is always good, sad the prices went up though. I’ll still be back, it’s worth it.
Not what it use to be. This place has gone downhill. Chicken was just soggy and way too salty. Opened the container and it did not look appealing.It used to have that nicely charred flavour and look. Instead, the skin was very light and soggy.Definitely not their best, we have been ordering less and less. We used to love their chicken and looked forward to it. This will be the last time.They used to be so much better. Grocery store chicken would have been so much better. Salt seemed to be their main ingredient for seasoning.
Brutal. Waited 25 mins for 3 Toma La chicken sandwiches. Cook more interested in his phone. He wasn’t even wearing a mask. And the sandwiches were a 3/10 at best. Just bad all around.
Incredible chicken. The chicken and piri piri sauce pack incredible flavour. I always suggest the potatoes as the best side, although the fries and salad are good too.
I had heard good reviews about the food here, but never tried. Then I saw those few bad reviews and knew they were all the same group and NOT to listen to them! Wow!!! I will be back! I want to try more things in the menu. I had the pulled chicken sandwich, it was so good! The flavours were amazing with just the right amount of spice! It was busy, but the service was great!!! And the food was great! What more could you want?!!
Great food and service. Loved the potatoes and piri-piri sauce. The chicken had excellent crispy skin too!
