Sat on the patio for dinner with friends. Zach (our server) was awesome, the food was amazing. The burger was legit the best I’ve ever had!
Thid was my first time at The French ; and they left the best first impression ! I already plan on visiting at least 2 more times before the year is over ! The food was delicious ! The cocktails were so tasty and pretty (definitely picture worthy ) ! The staff was extremely attentive and had a great sense of humor ! This is a cute place to din eat with family or friends ! They kept it very clean and I love the feature of being able to watch the chefs cook from the view at our table ! It was well worth the the price and time ! Overall a memorable experience!
We tend to patronize greasy spoons for brunch but decided to treat ourselves to brunch at The French. The 2 course brunch for $30 was a very fair price for the delicious food we received, great quality and quantity. Our sever Sara did a fantastic job helping us with recommendations our dish selections, and kept the coffee refills coming. We'll definitely be back.
Great!!! Food was so fresh
Probably my favourite restaurant in Hamilton. I think I've had several iterations of their duck and it never fails to please. Great for small or large groups. Staff is friendly, washrooms are downstairs and clean. Great drinks selection too. Everything on the menu is not only delicious but also really beautiful and a unique mix of flavours that just work really well. Looking forward to coming back in the future.
So good but not cheap. I ordered the onion burger. Despite the name it was not a strong onion taste, more like a Vidalia onion, sweet savoury and the bun was excellent. Wife got the Onion soup. Tasted like it had a hint of sherry or brandy in it. Very smooth. Friend had the chicken. Cooked prefect and a very nice sauce. Finished with crème brûlée, because we had to. Perfect, nice hard shell perfect filling. Would absolutely go back.
Simply amazing! Food, wine, service and ambience were all wonderful. We enjoyed starters, mains, dessert and several bottles of wine. Special thanks to Irene for making our evening very special.
Best brunch EVER! So many people have recommended this brunch since I've lived here and I finally tried it! It is expensive for a brunch, but if you want something fancy this is the place to be! The restaurant has great appeal and atmosphere; very cozy but chic. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable, also attentive but not abrasive. Now, the food... the whole menu looks delicious. I've been here 4 times and thoroughly enjoyed what I've ordered, though I am predictable since I almost always order the duck! The menu also rotates regularly. The brunch... it is 2 courses for $30. The salmon toasts were a perfect mix of salty, creamy and crunchy. The bread didn't cut your mouth and the flavors blended very well. Then I had the duck waffles, their take on chicken and waffles, and it was amazing. The waffles were light and fluffy, with very little sweetness, paired with salty duck and blueberry sauce. Last to finish it off, an aioli of some kind that just gave it a bit of creaminess. My friends had the Benedict which was predictable and the tostadas Rancheros which were so tasty! The bean mix and crunchiness with the poached eggs were on point! Absolutely delicious, I can't wait to go back!
Loved this place. Visited for brunch on my birthday with my family. We had a great time, and enjoyed the prix fixe brunch which helped because we got to try everything! Highly recommend
OMG the food and service is spectacular. Thank you so much for a great foodie experience, topped off with personal, friendly service in a great location and awesome atmosphere!! We will return.
