Good food. Not too much. Just enough to not be hungry when i left. I got the beef combo
Came here for lunch with my family. Friendly staff. When we ordered we were informed thay they only had one hotdog left, which turned out not to be an issue as they are quite big and my daughters each ate half. Their sandwich was super tasty and their sauce/gravy is amazing. I would love if they sold it in jars or something like that. The place was really clean and the other customers all looked happy/satisfied.I recommend this place and will come back again!
Excellent food! Best roast beef sandwich in Canada, if not North America! The gravy they make from the beef drippings is amazing. Service is A one. Thanks for your services, and excellent food!
Steamed to keep the beef moist and then basted with delicious house made brown gravy on a warm soft sesame seed bun. Simple, yet incredibly delicious! This sandwich gives Tall Tree Sandwich Co.'s Hot Beef sandwich a run for the best beef sammich in the Hammer imo, but regardless, Tally Ho's is definitely the most iconic!I usually order the Double Beef Basket (a sandwich with double the amount of beef and gravy and a side). Their fries are tasty, but my go to side is the onion rings, which are the perfect sidekick. If beef sandwiches aren't your thing, they also have a variety of other items such as freshly char-grilled souvlaki and burgers, fish, fried chicken sandwiches, gyros, milkshakes, greek salad, and more. There is more than enough variety on their somewhat Greek inspired menu.Tally Ho is a Hamilton institution the likes of Hutches on the Beach, Black Forest Inn, Chicago Style Pizza, or Shakespeare's Steak and Seafood. All restaurants that have been much loved in this city for decades, and for good reason! In fact, many locals and McMaster university alum have fond memories of childhood lunches or late night meals here from many years ago. If you have never been to Tally Ho, then you are missing truly quintessential Hamilton dining experience!
The absolutely BEST fast food place around!! My family has been coming here pretty much from when it opened back in the 70’s. So many memories come to me..especially my dad buying a bunch of beef sandwiches so we can take them up north skiing?Be ready to get addicted once you try their beef!
In the last 6 weeks I have eaten Chicken Slovakia at Tally Ho, once in April and last night, I was sick after both meals. Them a friend of mine was there 2 weeks ago and had Chicken Slovakia and she was so sick for a day and 1/2. We have made a formal complaint to the Hamilton Department of Health. Dirty and obviously food is not being handled in a healthy manner. We will not be back.
This was the first time In several years that I've had the opportunity to get their roast beef on a kaiserwitg their awesome gravy; fries, coleslaw and a drink! Delicious and filling! Very happy!
Been going here since I was a kid. It’s still exactly the same. Best roast beef sandwich around. The gravy is like no other. Highly recommend for a fast filling delicious meal
For the price of ~7:40 (with tax), the roast beef sandwich was pretty good. The gravy was really hot and the bun was soft. The roast beef was shaved, but generously portioned, so it was perfect for a sandwich.
I went here a few weeks ago and was pleasantly greeted by the staff. When I had gone here as a highschool student and into my college years I could always count on them to be open until the craziest hours to accommodate my hilarious food cravings at ungodly times.I strolled at quarter to eleven not realizing they were closing in 15 minutes (because pandemic schedules). I apologized profusely and ordered only for my husband because I told him I had a food surprise for him. They realized I was making my order smaller to not inconvenience them and they made sure I ordered what I wanted for myself too.I know what it's like to have to scramble to put orders together so close to closing and truly appreciated their kindness and how it wasn't inconveniencing them to help me.Always great good for good value. If I didn't live in Caledonia I'd be there supporting their business much more in these crazy times.
