We haven't been out for breakfast since covid. So my husband and I decided to go this morning and well since we liked sunset before we figured we would go there again. WORST DECISION EVER!! I ordered a coffee and m y husband got a water, when the server came back she dropped off our drinks and then asked if we were ready to order. We ordered our breakfast and when it came to us the home fries were actually black and cold and disgusting. so we started eating the rest of our food thinking that the server would come back... NOPE!!! As they all stood at the front counter and not even aknowledging the fact that there are customers in your restaurant. So I put my homefries on a seperate plate and brought them up to them. Our server turned towards someone (which later on I found out she was the manager) I walked up and asked them if they had fresh potatoes. She said that they were... I looked at her like she had 2 heads. And, she says to me " do you not like the way they are made? I looked at her and said they are burnt and picked up a potato and asked her if they were ok. Then she said that is what they had. I just walked away, then a few minutes later she came to our table with a plate of potatoes that were full of grease. Like totally disgusting. She says Do you want these our response was NO. and she walked away with an attitude and to top this off our server still has not come back to our table yet. So we ,finish our breakfast and look to see where our server was for the bill and "THE MANAGER" says she is looking for you (refering to me) so she finally comes over then asked if i wanted more coffee. I laughed and said no thank you just our bill and you would think that we only got eggs and home fries no meat that you would discount the food not free but something, NOPE! and as I am walking to pay the manager again says her she comes refering to me. Well I say I can here her talking all the way in the back. then we paid and she missed out on a tip!!! We use to like going there but we will not be back. I have been in the restaurant business for a long time front and back of house and if there is something I would not eat then I sure as hell would not serve it. I'm sure that nothing will be done about this but at least people will read this and hopefully they will not go there. GET A MANGER THAT KNOWS WHAT FOOD SHOULD LOOK LIKE OR MAYBE TRAIN THEM PROPERLY ON HOW TO DEAL WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Super frustrating when restaurants can't read what you ordered properly. Ask for fruit instead of homefries, get charged an extra 5 bucks only to still receive homefries. Careful with this place, they'll happily charge you for the extras that they don't fulfill.
Have been going here for years, pre covid. Thought I would take my mom out for breakfast and this is where we went. Service sure wasn’t what it was! The waitress didn’t even refill our coffee, prices are way up, for not so great service! Won’t be returning.
If I could review less I would. Never order delivery, these people are useless. Waited almost 2 hours for them to cancel my order. When I called they had the audacity to tell me to come pick it up, and blamed door dash. They don't care to do anything to resolve any problem, just try to push the blame. 10 out of 10 worst place I've ever ordered fromEdit reply: that is a complete lie. Doordash sent 3 drivers and none of them where able to get the order. The first driver waited at the store for over an hour. Your staff even told me they didnt bother making it. Again refusing to take responsibility for your mistakes. That is some disgusting business practices. Will share my experience with everyone, you people are liars
I have been here a few times over the years and I have never have a bad thing to say. Went again on Sunday and the cooks put love into that food because it really hit the spot. Staff are always great and are always on hand for extra coffee or water as well as just being friendly and always working.The food comes out very quickly and the price cannot be beat especially for two people. If you're ever looking to get a quick brunch this is definitely the place.
I don't like writing bad reviews. This place is way over priced. 3 small pancakes 10 bucks. 4 strips of bacon, 8 bucks. Tastes good but come on, this isn't London. Probably fine for dine in but I won't go back for takeout. Not to mention, the staff was blatantly angry at each other and being petty the entire time. Very uncomfortable as a customer. Go to another local diner for better value.
Ice cold and rock hard home fries, Eggs done perfect as ordered, sausage's cooked and tasted great curly hair on one of my eggs, left plate and paid quickly and left because not a single staff member including the cook or manager/owner was wearing a mask as we enter the sixth wave of covid and Hamilton's hospitals begin to fill up once again. visited around April 2nd and will be my last. Too bad as a few years ago this place was great to have a tasty breakfast. New Management ?
They can't get your order right when you order off skip the dishes. We called after placing order to make sure they would give us ketchup this time... no ketchup at all. Also two of our orders were missing. Good food but bad service.
I brought my family here last weekend, our table was right by the kitchen which was fine until staff started arguing and using inappropriate language…food was ok but it was overall a very uncomfortable experience.
