Best pizza place in the hammer hands down. I drive from niagara to come get shorty's and it never disappoints
Waited 90 mins to get a $8 hamster size Caesar salad and a medium pepperoni n bacon with mushrooms pizza so greasy (what happened to our well done crust?????) that it SLID OUT OF THE BOX!!!! Are you kidding me???? $35????
Drove from Niagara because we don’t have a NY style pizzeria, did not disappoint
I love an independent pizzarias and this one is 500% better than any chain... I heard about Shorty's from a twitter review of 'Best Toronto Pizzarias" in which the reviewer compared the best on his list to Shorty's. I live in Burlington and Waze told me that Shorty's is only 17 minutes away, so I decided to try it sometime and yesterday after a long day of weekend warrior work i ordered 2 pies too reward myself and my volunteer labour - the 18" Bacon-Mushroom and a 14" Hawaiian. As anticipated (and especially so on Canada Day) the lady taking my order advised me of a 1:50 wait - no problem I said. I showed up after 1:45 - parking was pretty busy there but i found a spot no problem - and the pizzas were already available for pick-up, and i drove back home with them... Once delivered, we dived in. Flavour was 10/10. Construction I would give a 6-7. The dough was kinda tough, like it was maybe over-worked, and the center of the Hawaiian was slighly undercooked - the dough not the toppings. As cold leftover pizza the next day, it was still great. Overall, I will definitely be back and I do recommend it. As others have said, order ahead on busy days/dates.
Don’t recommend this place have tried a few times to order and have been told at like 9pm they are not receiving anymore orders why say your open till 10 if you stop taking orders at 9 won’t be trying anymore
Great pizza, loved the thin chewy crusty. Ordered 2 hours in advance for takeout and it was ready about 10 mins after it was supposed to be but not a big deal as they were obviously very busy.Yummy garlic dill dip!
Thin and cooked perfectly crispy. sauce was fresh tasting and pepperoni was great. best New York style around.
WARNING: If you are allergic to sesame seeds stay away. The sesame seeds all over the crust are to cover up their sloppy workmanship, the big gap between the edge and the cheese line. I believe they spray oil to make the seeds stick. Its a Huge large pizza. The pepperoni is nice, like a caciatore. Pizza tastes good BUT $32 for a large pepperoni???? Sorry but nope.Note, there is absolutely no parking. You have to stop on Cannon St and keep your blinkers on. Good luck finding parking on side streets. I parked at the old Becker's convenience store. There are tables, chairs and a TV but I'm guessing that's for local foot traffic.
5 stars when they first opened but our last 3 orders have been pretty mediocre. Last night's deep dish was disappointing. So much dough, so little topping oomph.
I went to shortys pizza Super Bowl day I went 15min early before they opened just to find out that they are full and not takening any orders how is a pizza place to busy to take any orders when they open. I’m told you can order 2 weeks or a month in advance lol smh ok so no pizza for the guy that actually walks over to your store and waits for you to open ? Now Easter weekend Saturday they opened at 3pm so I call someone actually answered the phone ask me to hold ok no problem they must of Accidentally hung up on me so I wait 2min call back no answer this went on from 3pm - 5pm no one would answer the phone I think this place is to busy and makes too much money if you can ignore customers and send customers home cause your to busy from when you open Obviously they don’t need customers so me personally I will never go back to shortys again plus they always burn the pizza it was good 2 years ago but now they have their noses up on the air so I would rather my money go to a business that needs the money not one that doesn’t answer phones or respect customers that go out of their way to go to them.
