This was our first time here, quiet Sunday afternoon I could see how this place would be a fun later evening atmosphere. Service was great drinks were tasty and the chicken and waffles were soooooo filling. We all had some to take home. We loved our meal i got the hot sauce on the side and boy did that add some heat. We did all feel it tasted and felt like a lot of breading on the chicken but the chicken itself and waffles was good. Soo glad we got the Brussel sprouts they were everyone’s favourite and the one item we all decide Humm I don’t know about this one ? over all we had a great meal and service and would go back. Worth a try
We placed a takeout order for a group of 6 and got the 10 piece fried chicken. We were prompted to choose 4 sides so we assumed they were shareable but the side portions were quite small, I think we each ate about 5 fries. The mac and cheese was freezing cold and tasteless which was disappointing. The fried chicken and sauces were very good. Overall, we were disappointed for the price, portions and quality.
Ray’s is on point with their southern comfort food. The Nashville chicken was crispy, juicy and delicious with just the right amount of spice! The Mac and cheese and sweet potatoes were perfectly done! I personally was not a fan of the deviled eggs, the bonito flakes leave a very strong fishy after taste. Overall my favorite dish was the buttermilk biscuits, this is a must with any meal, so flakey and fresh. I would go to Ray’s just for the biscuits.Bashi was a great server for our meal, really on point with great recommendations!
Fabulous drinks + food. Went with a group of 10 and everyone loved what they ordered. They’ve created such a cool atmosphere with a great food + drink menu. Will definitely return!
Stopped in at Ray's tonight after the Immersive Van Gogh show at the Convention Centre. It was the perfect way to cap off the day. We've ordered takeout but had never been inside the restaurant. It's lovely - very cool vibe. Our server (I don't know his name / I'm sorry!!) was fantastic and his drink recommendations (a tasty beverage called Geez Louise) also fantastic. The star of the night for us was Shawn - he came out from the back (I had requested something no longer on the menu) to confirm that they could still make it, and the food 100% did not disappoint. I had the Shrimp Po Boy, and my two companions each had the Famous Ray's sandwiches. Best fried chicken in the city! The apps (Deviled Eggs and Charred Broccoli) were also incredible. Thanks Shawn for making the Po Boy happen - Rockstar service from the minute we entered til we finished our meals. Will definitely be back!
Possibly the best fried chicken I've ever had. Amazing corn bread and mac & cheese, too. Great atmosphere and friendly service.
I had a great time last night at uncle Ray’s. Hadn’t gone in a while so decided to stop in last minute for some food and drinks. Jennifer was lovely and so hospitable, bartender Ty was slinging delicious cocktails and our server was attentive and helpful. We were only going to have a couple apps and drinks but ended up staying for a whole meal and the food was delicious. I ordered the Nashville hot plate, others at the table ordered the platter and it looked/tasted great. They have many lighter options for food as well. Thanks for the fun night!
We took my friend out to Ray's for a girls night after a break up this week and I just have to say I was floored by how well we were treated and how the staff made sure we had an amazing night. They started us off with some free cocktails, super attentive staff (our server was basically a magician and there at every moment, and the manager was so friendly). The manager brought us 2 free round of shots, and did juice ones with us when we requested she have one ! Food is incredible, atmosphere is incredible. Honestly one of the best restaurants iv been to in a long time. Highly recommend! Thank you for a great night Ray's!
Sensational experience at Ray’s! The waitresses provided outstanding service and the GM was very kind and pleasant to meet as well. Food was very good. Great portions and taste. 10/10 going back again!
My first experience at Uncle Rays was fantastic thanks to Amanda! Super awesome server, the food was amazing I highly recommend the Tuna crudo.I will be coming back again and again!
