This F&C shop is awesome! Staff are quick and prices are good. Not very talkative, and not many seats but call ahead and pick up and you won't be disappointed.
I am pushing 65 and have experienced many restaurants as well as working at some. I have never seen a place so clean especially when they deal with alit of grease. I was very impressed and the food was good as well. I will definitely be going back.
Quite possibly the worst fish n chips in Canada!!!! I should have bought Captain high liner frozen fish and McCain fries from the grocery store. Not only was the fish gross but the entire experience was horrible. No plastic knives, no debit machine, they gave me 4 tiny tartar sauces for 8 pieces of fish. I asked for more they gave me two more, I asked for more they gave me another two. It was like pulling teeth. The gravy was cold and clumpy like it was from yesterday. No salt on the fries they didn’t have malt vinegar. I threw out the remaining four pieces of fish and 3/4 of the fries. 1st and last time!!!! Disgusting ?
Terrible food, terrible service. Cash only restaurant, but they don't bother to tell you that when you order, or have any signs up I'm the restaurant. I ordered at 4:00 pm for a 5:45pm pickup and my food was 12 minutes late. Then was told cash only after sitting around for 12 minutes. Guy behind the counter was incredibly rude and seemingly enjoyed the fact that I had to go find cash.The fish was tough, dry, and greasy. The fries were bland and undercooked. Everything was expensive.Go anywhere else.
We have not enjoyed their halibut and chips the last 2 times we have ordered and again tonight. The fries are always so white no Color at all , the tartar sauce I’m assuming they make it is absolutely gross and we always get halibut because it’s not so fishy tasting and tonight was horrible got thru 1/2 and couldn’t eat anymore. The prices have jumped as well in wich I’m very ok with as long as food is good but total waste of money and I Have been eating here for since I was a kid so at least 45-50 years (with the original owners) but I’m afraid it’s time to move on…

Live in the area thought I'd give it a try since my usual fish and chips place was closed. The older gentlemen behind the counter was not very friendly almost got the feeling he didn't want me to order anything. I asked what the difference was between the cod and haddock was and he said "it's all the same thing" how can you not tell me the difference in fish taste when you work at a fish and chips shop. Placed my order and at the end he told me cash only, not sure how in 2021. Came back with cash and got my food, fries tasted stale, gravy was lumpy and cold, fish portions were tiny, and they give you the smallest container of tartar sauce I've ever seen. For $30 worth of food any other fish and chips spot gives you double the amount with fresher quality. Won't be coming back
Went with the Family option - $45 tax in - 8 pieces of fish, lots of fries, some gravy and coleslaw. 2 meals worth of food for our family of 3. Friendly service - tasty fish and chips! 1st time going - won't be our last.
Was in the neighbourhood and decided to get Fish & Chips, heard this place had decent food. Upon entry there was only 2 tables to dine in during COVID protocol I guess. We ordered two orders of haddock and chips and 2 pops to dine in. Went to pay by credit card, was advised that they accept cash ONLY? I only had $30.00 cash on me and order was for $40.00 on the nose? I said you don’t take debit either? They said no, order taker was extremely rude, like we were doing them a favour eating there. The broad behind the counter suggested I go across the street to an ATM (fat chance) we left without anything. At least post a SIGN on your door of entry “CASH ONLY”. Very inconvenient and frustrating experience, needless to say there is many other fish & chip establishments to buy from. Not recommend apparently under new ownership?
The fish and fritters are good. But they recently changed their tartar sauce. The new sauce they are now using is horrible. I always like tartar sauce on my fish. Due to that I will not be purchasing from them anymore.
