All I'll say is i feel this is a healthier Chinese food place. Food isn't greasy and is delivered piping Hot. And while I found it odd that the fried rice was white in color with hardly any soy sauce, it was tasty. Could have been more seasoned but the flavorful spicy wings make up for it. Beef and broccoli is my to go. Docked a star because it is pricey. The price point doesn't encourage one to try different menu options which I often do.
Mr Gao never disappointed me. The food is always great. Delicious big amounts and affordable---cheap prices. The girls and the guys at the counter are very friendly and polite. Loved the place. It is our new favorite me and my mom loved it.
Definitely coming back here! Friendly service, and pretty fast too. All the food tasted fresh, and the portions were big! Worth the price- more expensive than some other takeout places, but the quality and amount you get matched the price well. Husband got the chilli chicken, it was hot but still flavourful. I got the sweet and sour fish, which was very light and buttery, and the sauce was what you’d expect. Want to try more off the menu to find our favourites. No complaints!
Went to Mr. Gaos after 2 years. It used to be better. Much more flavourful. It's still pretty good but it just lacks at special touch it used it have
One of the best Chinese restaurants. Good portion and great taste. Only issue is, I feel like they reduce the portion in takeout.
Delicious, mr gao brings the fire, some dishes pretty spicy overall really good. Legit dumplings
Just ate from there tonight. Normally don't eat westernized Asian food but this was a surprise. Was not loaded with soya sauce and salt. There were actual pieces of chicken and pork. Good size portions. Will definitely be back!
Great prices foe the portion and the food I made fresh. Didn't mind waiting a bit longer for food to be made. The ingredients are good quality and dishes are overall well prepared.
Sounded promising but this is not what you think it is. Probably authentic; but shards of bones in everything. Chicken bones are not a typical thing you’d expect in canada when thinking Chinese food. Although it may have been normal for the style of cuisine they should call this out. Also had crispy fried shrimp and they still had shells and legs on them. Now I know this is no big deal but again not typical. I have had various types of this cuisine and if they want to broaden there customer base they should be more descriptive.
Hands down my favourite restaurant in Hamilton for both take out and dine in. For take out, their rice combos make a perfect (albeit large) meal or two. When dining in, I usually get a basket of rice and several dishes to share with the table.
