This was my first time trying this restaurant. I started with the lime margarita pitcher which tasted very good. For my main, I had the chicken chimichanga. Overall, everything tasted good and I would most likely come back to try other things on their menu.
I love this restaurant, I am from Calgary and anytime I am in Toronto I always make the Drive to Hamilton to eat at Mesa. It is simply the best Mexican restaurant in Canada. I have eaten here around 7 times in the past few years and am so happy they survived Covid. They have actually opened up a Latin market next door called Lola.The extra hot salsa I could drink it! I would love to learn how to make this. I always start with the amazing guacamole, it's not just crunched up avocado this guac has flavour! Could maybe be a tad chunkier. My Fav's are the Burritos or the Chimi and the chorizo is sooooooo good as a filling.This restaurant has also allowed me to visit and experience Hamilton and I like it, it's always nice to go for a walk and spend to much at the funky shops in the area or down in the parks by the lake. I hope to be able to visit again and soon!
Delicious food and good service! Ordered a green Burrito(salsa verde) with Al Pastor filling and it was the best Burrito I've ever had!! I love coming here. You can't go wrong with any dish. If you're looking for Mexican food, come here!
Fabulous restaurant, beautiful, with fantastic food and good treatment by the staff. They accommodated us immediately, they answered our doubts about the food, and they recommended dishes.They are very friendly, they have vegetarian and gluten free options.
The place is hidden in Hamilton downtown. The food quality was good but lacked taste. We asked for medium spicy but got bland. The service was good and price was reasonable.The washrooms are available but can be cleaner, also they are in the basement.Parking on the road is impossible as usual for any downtime. There is a plaza nearby with available parking but for plaza customer. We went on weekend so used the plaza, try for paid parking in weekdays to avoid trouble.I'll go back if I am around and hungry for quality, price and portions but hoping for better taste.
Super tasty and authentic Mexican restaurant with a good vibe! The prices are super fair, and you can choose your protein of choice for most dishes! And it’s very reasonably priced, especially for what you get!You can also choose your spice level, and if you pick spicy, it will be! So be prepared.I got the chimichanga, which came with bean dip, salad, and guac! The protein I chose was the barbacoa, which was insanely flavourful, I would highly recommend it!
Pretty amazing. It's a simple yet welcoming comfortable place inside. I got the large beef burrito and it was served in a dish essentially swimming in a sauce...I've always had burritos wrapped up hand held and eaten. This had to be cut with a knife and fork which was very different for me...and it was a superb difference! Amazing. Tasted great, looked great and it was a heavy eat, such a generous portion!GET IT!!
The delicious food outweighed the poor service the five times I’ve been there. Thank you to the busboy who was basically our server and the only one who checked on us. The host ended up taking our order when no one else would, and after pointing out who our waiter was supposed to be. All he did for us was bring the bill. I was secretly hoping the payer didn’t leave a tip. We might be back, not sure yet.
The food was average, not bad but not so great. Very under-salted. Nice atmosphere.
Our party of three all had something different and we all loved the food. Flavourful, authentic, delicious!
