Had takeout the other night was one of the worst Chinese food I’ve had. If you have the taste buds of a senior this is the place for you You can taste the MSG with greasiness and very little flavour the fried rice with a disgrace ?
Good local Chinese takeout. The lemon chicken was over battered and not at all lemony and the orange beef was a little tough and had no orange flavour at all but the wonton soup, spring rolls, chowmein and fried rice were all really good. The String Beans with Hot Garlic Sauce was new and interesting dish that I hadn't tried before but loved. Would order again.
The photo of the menu shared in previous reviews is up to date. The portions are sufficient, I ordered a couple of family dinners to share and tried the Orange beef ? ? ?️ and shrimp ? with four seasons vegetables ??. Everything was delicious, the food lasted for a couple of days for my partner and I. The family dinners come with fried rice, if you want to change to noodles, you have to pay 1.50 more. I recommend paying with cash, they discount 10% off when doing so.
Ordered a bunch of dishes and loved them! The lemon chicken sauce was a standout but everything tasted good. Was still good the next day, which is the real test of Chinese food in my books. Will have it again.
We've been ordering from Le Chinois for years and it's always been fresh and delicious! We especially love the Orange Chicken and the House Special noodles ,meat and vegetable dish! We highly recommend this place!
Rice is very oily and lacks flavour, orange chicken had the texture of being in the fridge all night then cooked again. Was desperate to replace our favourite place on Ottawa street …. I guess we’re going to keep looking . Waste of $80.00
I would highly recommend Le Chinois. It's been a family favourite of my household. I wish they would bring back the lunch specials. I would go there atleast 1 a week ;)
This was absolutely delicious! My girlfriend and I ordered curry shrimp, hunan beef, house special rice, chicken broccoli and a spring roll. And every single dish and piece of food is absolutely delicious. The shrimp dishes were loaded with nice fresh tasting properly cooked shrimp. The best Chinese food I've had in Hamilton thus far after living here for four years. We already ate some in the pictures it was too yummy looking to wait, sorry!And not to mention all the staff and cooks were wearing masks, I really respect that extra level of safety even though the choice is available not to. It makes this restaurant more appealing than most others.
You have to try this place la chinois special and orange beef yum yum enough for leftovers the next day. Great price Great service
Ordered for the second time. The food is so much better than the other restaurant we had been ordering from. Owners seem super nice and delivery is always quick. Every dish just seems to be a notch up from other restaurants.
