Food was absolutely delicious and lots of it. You could share an entree with your partner or friend. I brought mine home for another meal. The service was very friendly. The space is small so I would recommend a reservation. Only thing I would say is that the place does need a freshening up and maybe new tables and chairs. Also I would recommend linen tablecloths. Highly recommended and will definitely go again.
Beautiful dinner with my daughter at this gem of a restaurant last night. Ambiance is perfect with its dark walls, low light and intimate seating. We felt like we had escaped to a different city for a couple of hours. Food is delicious and the staff so very friendly and attentive.Highly recommend you check it out.Tremendous evening. Well done!!
The food was quite good and they were quite accommodating! The sauce is made to order so your able to sub things which was a very pleasant surprise. The bread was extremely good. The only complaint is with the service. It was a busy night (a Friday evening) and they only had one waitress/host so it was rather slow. I would recommend this restaurant if you have time, but do make a reservation!!
Oh my goodness! This place remains a perennial favorite. We booked an early dinner after our afternoon in Port Dover. Unfortunately an accident delayed our arrival. Knowing how busy they always are I worried that they wouldn't be able to seat us. We texted to let them know of our delay and they were very gracious. The EXCELLENT food is only surpassed by the amazing service we received. Many thanks for a wonderful dinner and enough left overs for the following day. We will be back.
Loved the food, the friendliness and the service of staff. I have returned several times since my first visit and recommended to friends.
The best Italian food in Hamilton. Amazingly delicious food! Do yourself a favour and have the Lemon Vodka Chicken Capellini. It is incredible!
This was a special occassion. Thanks for the reviews we decided to try it out. The food big portions. Service nice. It was a little small but cozy. They do give you a time limit we had approx. Ihr 45min. I would love to go back and try some other dish.
First time to this restaurant that we have been saying for years, we should try. Started with garlic soup and sambuca flambe shrimp. We each got a "pot" of soup, the helping was so generous and full of flavour. The licorice flavouring on the shrimp was just right and not over powering. The pasta dishes were also generous and the sauces were robust. Dessert? You betcha! The raspberry gelato was the best I have ever had. But the raspberry cheesecake was beyond exceptional. So looking forward to returning to this intimate little restaurant. The staff were wonderfully attentive without being too intrusive. They were pleasant and helpful as well. Great little gem if you like Italian
In a small stripmall located 2 min off the Upper James St exit on the Lincoln Alexander Pkwy (affectionatly called the LINC) is a tiny corner restaurant. This unassuming little bistro is home to one of the best tasting pasta and selection of sauces and toppings I have had in Southern Ontario. Welcome to La Spaghett!!This little bistro has only about 10-11 tables. Reservations is highly recommended. I was amazed by the amount of traffic this cozy little place had. Here is the rundown...Homemade pastas...choose one...Around 30 or more different toppings and sauces to choose from. Everything ranging from a simple bologanaise to a Roquefort Rustico (Blue Cheese cream sauce with bacon, leeks, tomatoes, walnuts etc). Sit, talk, wait, drink...enjoy the ambience, enjoy a huge appitizer. The goal is that it will take time for your entree to arrive..that is because nothing is pre made...everything is made to order. You don't like mushrooms? you can remove them. Want chicken breast with your sauce?? Who said you can't have a bologanaise topped with a chicken breast? Just ask. Getting your meal is another story...HUGE monsterous servings...I was told not very many people finish their meals. I ordered a Sundried Tomato Pesto with chicken, with a little alfredo cream sauce. I looked and their was actually 1 1/2 chicken breast in my dish. I was fully expecting some chopped up chicken....nope....1/4 cut chicken breasts in my meal. My wife had the cheese tortallini with a rose sauce.....so simple...so cheesy. The meals are a little on the higher price scale for an entree, but don't be fooled...this is easily a 2 meal takehome kinda place. My opionion .....eat there...support this awesome local restaurant. Food quality is excellent, staff is friendly and the ambience is cozy... 5 stars!
The most pleasant dining experience I have had in years. A quaint and cozy restaraunt with welcoming and attentive staff. The wine selection pairs perfectly with the pasta and the food so good, you won't know whether to cry tears of joy or just sit in silence wondering how you didn't plan your visit earlier. I am excited to make La Spaghett a regular dining experience!
