I feel like the passion in the meal presentation is missing, and the polenta fries were inedible, way too salty, and the tomatoe dipping sauce resembled something I'd pour out of a can, no balsamic or hot peppers on the table, and the table bread they brought to the table was filled with hot peppers. For me an offering of bread to the table should be plain or herbed, not spicy, this was a first of spicy table bread I've ever received at any restaurant. I am disappointed as I had high expectations from my previous visits, however this was many years ago. So perhaps things have changed over the years.

Clearly La Piazza Allegra knows the secret to success in order to celebrate their 25th anniversary this week!! The Bruschetta Tartufo is amazing. The provolone cheese melts into the tomatoes and every few bites, there is a heat that surprisingly comes through the bread. The Cappelletti pasta is delicate with the herb cream sauce. So flavourful and delicious!
Hands down best pasta ever had in Hamilton. The menu was a fixed Christmas menu that had local dishes available for a limited time. I enjoyed a pesto dish that was creamy, flavorful, buttery & the perfect texture. I recommend definitely giving this beautiful restaurant a shot. We did enjoy this as a birthday occasion as it is on the higher end of pricing.
The Alfredo was acceptable. Needs a touch of salt. The chicken definitely tasted frozen and I couldn't finish it. Everything else was decent.
I attended my granddaughter mackenna wedding reception on Sunday Feb 27th at la piazza and I have to say the food was absolutely outstanding portions were huge and the wait staff were so super courteous and friendly cudos to mark thank you for putting a delicious menu together
Place was nice. Limited menu though. Didn't feel like real homemade Italian. You know the kind.

This was our go to place before the pandemic understanding that menu changed.I invited my gf last year to attend this place and we ordered seafood pasta was not the best actually the mussels were very dry. We spend 200 dollars and we were not happy at all. Decided because of the pandemic I understand that perhaps things happen and they were not prepared.I went again for Christmas Eve with my children being that we used to go every Christmas.We got there at 7 I had not eaten all day and was so hungry. We ordered the charcuterie plate….awful no presentation and for the price u pay not worth itI ordered the osso bucco I have had it many times however it tasted weird and the risotto was not great my son ate it but he eats everything. The lamb was good but the pasta with Clams was nothing special.Not sure if the pandemic has put a financial strain on certain restaurant but the quality and the service has been compromised.We spend 275 dollars and we were not happy oh wellThis is the last time I will be going and sad because I’ve been coming for years.
