I can't believe it's taken me so long to write a review for my favourite, go-to coffee spot. I am there weekly (sometimes daily), to grab a coffee on my way to work. I recognize the importance of supporting local and love the wait staff and Jeff, the owner. I found this #Hamont gem about 2 years ago and have been going consistently since. I'm not sure if it's the pleasantness of the staff, the promptness of the service, or the fact that they have about 10 coffees EVERY DAY for you to choose from, that makes me coming back. This is my usual spot. I don't have to order. They know my coffee and food order. Love Danica, Faith, Jeff and the rest!!! Need a regular spot, "Where everybody knows your name?" Jet is the place for you. Enjoy!
Eggs, bland but fluffy... Hashbrowns TERRIBLY OVERSEASONED with some orange salty crap for seasoning. Bacon was nice. Breakfast Sausage was soooo salty I didn't bother eating it. Would never eat again. Blech.
I went in to this place thinking it would be something very different than what it was. It honestly gives off a very grimey feel. It doesn't feel clean or organized at all. The food was ok, went there for breakfast with my husband, my eggs were a bit cold and the pancake seemed overdone. It's very dark if you don't sit right by the window, they had a TV on with the news so you can hear all the depressing stuff going on while you eat. It was just a disappointing experience. Also the other customers there seemed to be a bit off as well if you get what I mean. I didnt love being stared at as I walked to my table.
Great breakfast place! One of my absolute favs!
Never fully cooked. Ever. Potatoes raw. Bacon raw. Eggs runny when they're supposed to be scrambled. Forget half the order half the time. Never again. End up having to cook it yourself when you get home. This place used to be good not too sure what happened.
Over priced food not good
The jet cafe used to be a place I loved to have breakfast. Since the daughters have taken over. The service is horrendous. They act as if you are bothering them while placing your order. Don’t let you finish speaking. Tell you your total after every word you say even if you aren’t finished ordering. I ordered two clubhouse sandwiches and the bacon was raw. When I called back nothing was done about it. It’s a shame the owner and wife stopped running the place. Their daughters are going to run this once well loved local place right into the ground.
Absolutely amazing little gem in downtown Hamilton. The 5.99 breakfast special is a steal and a very generous portion. Had the Popeyes omelette $9.50 had to take half home it was big enough for breakfast and lunch! The home fries are the best I've ever had crispy on all sides and seasoned with a savoury Cajun style seasoning. The staff is super down to earth and friendly as well. Would come here weekly if there was one in Toronto .???
The staff here handle money touch everything and then handle the food without wearing gloves or washing their hands. With a pandemic going on I would have thought they would take extra measures. used to be a great place.
Jet cafe is amazing cafe and very good customer service.
