Tried their seafood boil for the first time, was super excited about it and quickly very disappointed. Extremely salty, seasoning was still gritty, like eating sand. Will not order again

I’ve been eating different fish for years.Friendly staff, fast service. White fish is fresh tasting. Fries are also cooked well in taste. Only thing I would recommend is better tarter sauce or extra with 2 piece meal.
The food was incredible! It tasted so fresh and delicious. The two people working in the store were friendly, and gave great customer service. We will definitely be back! In fact, as we were eating, a lady was waiting for her order, and she told us that she drives in all the way from Niagara-on-the-lake to get her fish and chips from here! We could see why!
What can I say that everyone else hasn't?The fish is crispy, hot, and their gravy is something special. Not your typical dark beef gravy you'd get with a poutine, but something light and a tiny bit of tartness goes very well with the fish. It isn't combating any of the flavours that are going on, it's quite good and was a surprising addition to a very nice meal.The salt on the fries feels sea salt, very nice and the fish wasn't overly greasy. A lot of fish places, the fish absorbs the grease because their temperatures are way too low. This isn't a problem here, their fish has always been nice and crispy without being overly greasy.10/10 would recommendThe bomb dot com call your mom
Amazing fish and chips! The batter is light but tasty, no grease at all. The fries are super yummy with the skin still on and perfectly salted.There is no seating inside but there are tables and chairs outside if you want to eat right away. They also packed the fish in a seperate box than the fries which was nice.Staff were super friendly

I hope I have a great review to add after attempt #2.Was so excited to try this place, given the great reviews. Sadly, it did not meet expectations. Fries were undercooked. Literally had to throw out a family size fry. The fish was just ok. Loved that they had a home made tartar sauce, but it wasn't tangy. The coleslaw lacked flavour. The mushy peas were pretty good though. Not impressed that my experience was so different from others.
Had the scallops and my husband had the fish curry. We lived in the UK for 10 years and this is the best have ever had!
Amazing fish and chips! Fogo Island cod and fresh cut fries. All amazing. Not greasy. Well worth the trip and the price. Absolutely recommend!!! You do have to take out so be ready to eat in your car. Love this place. as a follow up they also have retail and we bought the chowder and the Fogo Island Shrimp. Amazing products. This is our new GO to eatery and retail!
