We dine here often because of the outstanding service a delicious food! We are always greeted with a warm and welcome hello, the hostess re-wipes my highchair because she knows how fussy I am! When Ian comes to the table - we know that we will be well taken care of - above and beyond our expectations! Ian remembers our drinks, names and treats our kids like humans! My husband and I both work in the industry and Would LOVE TO STEAL HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!
Diana, our server is extremely professional! She survived a small meltdown I exhibited when 4 of us were originally seated….the booth was too small for the size of us. She quickly suggested a larger booth or changing to a table & chairs. Diana handled everything so eloquently and I felt like an idiot! East Side Mario’s is very lucky to have Diana as part of their team. We celebrated my brothers Birthday and he was extremely happy to receive dessert, as a freebie. Thank you, Diana! My daughter and I try to go out at least once every 2 weeks for dinner and try different restaurants but we always end up back at Eastside Mario's on Queenston Rd as we have never been disappointed with anything there. The staff, the food, the prices and the atmosphere are all above a 10. They really go out of there way to make sure your taken care of, You will not me disappointed.
Tonight we ordered from East Sides but unfortunately due to delivery driver error our order was incorrect. We had a hungry toddler and two huge bags full of nothing but Caesar salad! Fortunately the staff at the Queenston location where incredibly apologetic and quickly remedied the situation. The food was delicious as always and we really appreciated the staff going the extra mile after the mishap with the delivery (it happens!) Our toddler is fed and asleep and all is well thanks to the staff who helped us. Will order again soon!
The food was really bland and just disappointing. For the reputation East Side has...it just was disappointing to get a salad with 0 dressing on it just seemed like it was plopped into a bowl and handed to us. The pasta was not good at all it was really just bland and the spaghetti noodles were mushy. The best part of our meal was the small loaf of bread we received. I also was disappointed, as i walk with a cane and was placed in a booth towards the back so it was impossible to avoid foot traffic and getting bumped around by either front staff, servers or customers and it was difficult for me to scoot in and out. Our server seemed really busy so i won't say anything, i am sure she was doing her bestu. But it was really just not a great experience I'm sorry to say.

We haven't eaten here in years but thought we would treat ourselves tonight. Unfortunately, I was very sadly disappointed. We started with salad. The lettuce was kind of limp. I let that go since it is the middle of winter but there was hardly any dressing on it. Then my meal came. I had the veal limone. It looked good when it arrived and I thought the yellow pool under my potatoes was a yummy buttery lemon sauce. Wrong. It was just oil. The vegetables were bright and fresh looking but they just tasted like the oil. The breading on the veal was mush especially on the bottom where it sat in this pool of oil. The meat was very tender though but everything tasted the same.....just that same oily taste. My husband had the hell's kitchen chicken which he had years ago. He said it wasn't what he remembered. He did say he would come back but wouldn't order that again. I would not go back. I'll just remember how good things were years ago.
This place is known for good service and it does deliver that. The food on the other hand is inconsistent and not great. Sometimes you feel rushed. Let me eat my unlimited salad and bread first. If you ask them to hold the entree then it comes out cold or dry as it sits under the heat lamp. Really cramped washrooms and nasty.
Sara was a fantastic hostess. Fast, effective and very personable. The food was delicious too of course, but the service is what made our family meal memorable!
Have dined here many times w my family of 4.Always a pleasant experience and fair value. Certainly never leave hungry.
