This is the James St, N location: We visited Aug 6 at around 6PM. When I called earlier in the day to make a reservation, I was told that they don’t take reservations for groups of under 6 (it might have been 8). So when we arrived, we were told that even though the restaurant looked empty it would fill up by 7. Too bad we didn’t have a reservation. After explaining my earlier experience, they did graciously find us a seat. I also explained that we would be gone shortly after 7 as we had tickets to the Theatre Aquarius for 7:30. We ordered the Meat Pizza (11”) and the Risotto. The Risotto was very good. The pizza, however, was abysmal. The first one that arrived, when I tried to cut it, sort of just dissolved. When I rolled the piece over, it looked like the crust was either uncooked, or saturated with water. The pizza itself had the necessary charring around the crust, so wasn’t sure what was wrong. I returned it, and they replaced it with another Meat Pizza. The waiter told me the pizza would be out in 8 minutes. (This could be part of the problem.). When it arrived, I grabbed the crust edge to pull a slice back a bit to let it cool (it was very hot). The edge crust separated from the crust with the toppings on it. Still saturated with water so much that it just fell apart. They were very apologetic and suggested that I get a different type of pizza as there was a lot on the Meat Pizza. So I order the Bee Sting. It arrived about 10 min later. It suffered buy the same problem, but not it was almost 7 and we had tickets. This wasn’t as bad, but when you lifted a slice it just sagged down. The crust still heavily saturated with water. I ate 1/2 of it before we had to leave (burning my mouth as it was so hot). I finished it later that evening. It tasted reasonably good, but as far as a oven fired pizza went, was still very poor. I did note the table beside us did not have a soggy pizza. It believe it was the margarhite pizza (I spelled that wrong I know). In fairness to them, the waitstaff was excellent. The waiter that first addressed the problem, saw me and came over and addressed it very well. He wasn’t serving our table. The other waiter serving our table was very apologetic, offered to take the pizza off the bill. The third person (I think it might have been a cook) that delivered the Bee Sting pizza explained that they would put something in the take away bag for us (2 delicious cookies we had later). So the service was excellent. As for the pizza, I was a surprised pizzas could be prepped and cooked in ab out 10 min. In other similar places, you usually can expect 15 or a bit more. I’see had similar pizzas from Il Fornello’s, Good Fellows, etc., some I wasn’t a fan of, but none have had the soggy mess these pizzas were. I’m not sure what was going wrong. I would expect if it was a new menu offering, they would have resolved the issues. Since it was 3 for 3, I can’t conclude it was a bad batch, or a mistake in the kitchen, this is how they make pizza. And as such, I would not recommend it for that. Try anything else on the menu.
The staff were AMAZING, such an upbeat friendly vibe! The PIZZA - WOW! Great crust and the toppings were very creative and more importantly DELICIOUS! Also tried a drink that wasn’t in the menu - we named it the LemonJADE because it had muddled mint leaves hand crafted lemonade, Tequila and a couple of other ingredients- So tasty Kelsey the bartender! Definitely recommend ?
Amazing food, service and ambiance! Server’s obviously love working here and it shows. Will be back for some more pizza and cocktails!
Food(pizza), drinks, music and service were all amazing! Loved that the staff were so friendly and obviously enjoyed working together. They also were helping each other prepare and serve orders . Will def be back!
This place is okay but the food was not good. Michele came over and took our order, she was polite, friendly and out going. When the food came though it was unbelievable horrible. When then took the lid off the clams, he smelt like a barn. Then I go to have my burger, the bun was soggy like it was dip in water, with an over cooked burger that was to have cheese and the cheese look liked the grab some cheese wiz and threw it on there. Only reason I give 2 stars because Michele our waitress was very nice and polite, the only thing good at that place.

Fantastic place, great customer service, the food is just unbelievably flavourful. Super fresh ingredients, you can taste the quality. They specialize in pizza but offer a wide variety on the menu. The pizza crust is just wonderful. My wife had the pizza, I had the loaded fries and corn chowder. Just fantastic. Check them out, you’ll be delighted.
The atmosphere was really friendly with awesome music choices. Their summer drinks blew me away. I usually stick to wine but I was feeling adventurous and had two very well crafted drinks.Appetizers were absolutely delicious. We had the calamari and muscles. Portion sizes were large for the apps. Calamari was very crispy and the muscles had a lovely wine sauce reduction. After having Apps we were genuinely excited to enjoy some thing off the main menu.I had the Cheese Louise. They did not disappoint with the level of cheesiness. it was absolutely fantastic. The Pizza was thin with loads of cheese and the honey truffle sauce with pepper flakes really added an extra dimension.I overall would give this place five stars and will 110% be back. The service was awesome. We had Anna as our server and she was friendly and prompt.
Best experience dining in a very long time. Service was excellent, staff went out of their way to make a birthday celebration a little extra special. Can’t wait to return for the amazing food as well.
Had the mussels and Mac and cheese Food and drinks were Awesome Great price big portions!!! Servers were friendly and Service was quick!!
