While this Dairy Queen can get absolutely hopping in the summer, and it means it may not always be worth waiting, if you do wait the staff are as efficient as possible and extremely friendly. They make great products and if there is ever a mistake, they happily fix it. They go out of their way to be helpful, even when customers like myself can be inconvenient calling for cake orders at the last minute, or not remembering what the blizzard I tried and love was and describe it to them instead of giving them a name. They always answer the phone, they get your order right, they are kind and considerate. I drive out of my way to visit this particular Dairy Queen because I know I am guaranteed excellent service. I have really appreciated all the wonderful service I’ve received over the years, and lately. I do prefer to go in the “off season” or off peak times because it seems like everyone knows the secret of this wonderful place and the lines can get long on those hot summer days and nights. But, I can’t blame them for being a popular place that simply isn’t large enough to handle the demand of those days that just scream for ice cream. I’m a big fan of the Dairy Queen on Fennell in Hamilton and hope they hear me shouting their praises.
Shutout to the guy that made my Strawberry Sunday today super friendly and quick on his feet. Normally when I ask and pay for extra strawberry they never give me extra. This guy made it perfect, 10/10 you know who you are. Working the drive thru at 2:30pm May 5th. Should of gotten your name to pass to management .
I guess leaving a review here won't matter much considering all the bad review haven't made a change yet. I would be repeating the same comments about night staff. Having worked in food industry, I know first hand that you'd want to finish your day on time and go home. However, locking the doors 20 minutes before closing time while OPEN sign stays ON all while watching a customer trying to open door isn't exactly a good service.I know I will get this generic response for my feedback and how much DQ team appreciates it, when I know that there won't be a slightest change.
We go to this DQ almost every day in the summer and on any days that are sunny and warm actually. We always order the same thing, the Peanut Buster Parfait with extra peanuts and whipped cream. Sometimes they're not made consistently but they're still our favourite! We always go back for more.
The place was deserted, but they still took 20 min to make 2 blizzards (from the menu, nothing special). They were confused, making the food for the car behind us, kept saying to wait a few more minutes and just PAINFULLY slow. After the wait they came messy and dripping over the side, no napkins. I highly suggest going somewhere else if you’re looking for ice cream. I can’t imagine the wait if there were other customers.
Given cold burgers and fries served outside of safe temperatures, missing items, threw out the food, it was a rip off. For the same $45 I could have gotten good food at an actual restaurant instead of this poor excuse of a food establishment. The CFIA would like a word with you.
We got coupons for two can dine chesseburger combo. I think it is reasonaly price and quality. There are a couple of table outdoor.Just have to drive slowly when you approach the place so you will not miss the entrance to the drive way.
We bought an ice cream cake. The put happy birthday mom on as requested and they even put a little heart on it. Nice touch. Thanks DQ. Also nice and friendly staff :)
Its almost always slow at either driver thru or front cash. Staff were polite though I didn't see many of them wearing gloves. Their blizzards are always good
The service here is slower than getting an oil change. The drive thru coms require people to use hearing aids because of how quiet it is. The only plus side to this dairy queen is the accuracy of the orders.
