This place is slowly becoming my go to for chicken rice and now soup. It’s great that they have halal option and I know for a fact that other people in my circle are also flocking here more. My favour item here is either the 45$ whole chosen with 3 sides to split with 3 people. They are generous with their portions the chicken tastes juicy and delicious and isn’t dry like other places. And did I mention the soup ? The large soup has excellent and I mean excellent generous portions of chicken. I like their spicy sauce which for once compared to other places is actually spicy. Really great place and loving it so far.
Pros:- the chicken was fantastic - very well marinated and cooked to perfection. Three stars for the chicken alone.- the coleslaw was okay, I've had better, but certainly not the worst.Cons:- both the rice and potatoes were absolutely terrible.
Got the brisket Sandwich with a side of poutine.. the service was very quick! And the food was very tasty. The sandwich was pretty good, the brisket wasn't dry at all. The poutine rivals the poutines from Quebec city.. id say it's worth a stop.
Best healthy chicken spot in downtown Hamilton.There chicken noodle soup is absolutely delicious. Compared to other chicken noodle soup this has a kick to it when you add the hot sauce and the cilantro makes it even better.Chicken leg is so tender and fresh… and crisp on top… the hot sauce makes it… just so yummy… I would suggest the brisket sandwich over the chicken. Fries are okay.. could be better?I use to order lunch here twice a week when I was trying to eat healthier and it was the best choice, highly suggest to those who have big cravings but trying to cut back abit on the junk. You will be satisfied if you love chicken as much as I do.I usually do pick up and eat at the office so I can’t rate the service and dine in experience. I dined in once and it was nothing special to be honest, maybe the music was off but I felt like I was in a cafe drinking a warm coffee and wanting to head out within the next 10 minutes. Front counter girls/guys are super nice & efficient.Overall 5 star for such good chicken. Hamilton is a hard spot to find good chicken that isn’t fried.
Really tasty lunch! I had the Charred Chicken Sandwich with a house salad and my wife had the Brisket Sandwich with fries. The sandwich and side portions are not only delicious, they're also pretty generous. You'll probably need a takeaway box. Loved the decor. Great place for a bite to eat on James Street.
The food was delicious! The chicken was soft, and not at all chewy or hard. The chips were so tasty, the coleslaw was fresh and homemade, and the rice went very well with the entire meal. The portions were huge, so we took the leftovers with us...and we got TWO more dinners out of them! Worth the price. Our waitress was very patient, and quite friendly. Not intrusive and not ignoring us. Perfect level of care, and also giving us the privacy to enjoy our dinner in peace.
Upon entering you can smell the roasted chicken already. The place is clean staff are friendly and attentive to customer .. the chicken were superb.. well recommended ??
Obviously if you look at the menu, this place mostly does rotisserie chicken and it does it well. It reminds me of nandos but better, with the exception of their sauce. The piri piri is not as flavorful but still good. Though on the other hand their sides are amazing, the roasted potatoes were easily my favorite part of the meal and the portion sizes are great. Would definitely go back.
The brisket sandwich was so good, speaking from someone who doesn’t like sandwiches!!!! It’s a big win! After reviewing some negative reviews, I felt so bad for a small business owner. The quality of the meat, and the time consumed for slow cooking, and plus it’s covid 19. I don’t think it’s over priced unless you ordered from Uber or other third party platforms. I ordered thru the official website, less than 50 bucks for a whole chicken and a brisket sandwich, small Asian women myself and normal fit Caucasian husband, couldn’t finish the food. We felt appreciated with a full belly. Just give them some love please.
Have eaten at this place a few times over the years and recently ordered via delivery. Since it's been a couple years, I was unsure about the sides and inquired about the roasted potatoes. They said they have some flavouring but nothing spicy. So we ordered that as a side, and even an extra for the kids. Let me just say this-they had no flavour! Portions were good, the chicken was okay, as well as the rice and fries, but just want to warn you that the potatoes are literally tasteless.
