Was expecting more. Spent 70 bucks 2 weeks ago. My frozen pie was labeled steak and mushrooms but no mushrooms and red peppers were there. Meat and veg in the pie were ok. Pie inside was watery (soupy!) and the instructions on the pie were very off. I know ovens vary but make sure you use a thermometer when eating these pies. My husband said " ...you make a better meat pie than this."
I just love this place.. I have a fare bit of a drive, but it's worth it.. Hard to pick a favorite treat since it's all great.. But lemon meringue pie, strawberry Rhubarb pie, hands down the best.. Cookies and Tarts are amazing.
Carluke Orchards is an amazing orchard and bakery in Ancaster, ON! They have incredible products, including hand-picked apples, freshly baked goods (the scones are so good!), sweet and savoury pies, and other locally produced items. Their cider will be some of the best you'll ever have! As a small, family-owned business, they also create jobs within their community and they work hard to ensure a safe and clean environment for customers and staff. This all while the pandemic has brought continued challenges. If you have the opportunity, stop in and show your support. You won't regret it!

Freshly baked cup cakes, pies. The pure ingredients milk chocolate is really nice and there is a whole lot of variety of salad dressings and jams.
This place has been a regular stop for me and my family since it opened. Our restaurant featured my mom's home baking, but soon making everything became too much work for her. When Carluke orchards opened their bakery, their pies passed my mom's tests and we began selling them along with my mom's cheesecakes. I still go there for extra treats if I don't have time. They also sell many other items including of course, apples ?.
I've loved going to the bake shop and apple store since it was first built as a small cabin in the orchard. Marion made/makes THE best pastry (well almost as good as my Mother's!?) Always choose plain apple pie. Oh! and seasonally, peach pie. Now Carluke Orchards has grown in size and reputation. Excellent baking. Scones are melt in your mouth delicious. I get all 'my' baking there, for special festivals especially. Great staff. Lots more to choose from, cider, meat pies, of course apples and cider. The muffins are so delicious. So much delicious temptation in that orchard ?, down Shaver Road in rural Ancaster.
If you have never been to Carlile you don't know what you're missing. I've never been disappointed in the countless trips to buy baked goods. My favorites are the brownies, butter tarts and country apple pie. But please go and find your own favorites. There's plenty to choose from and the friendly staff will be more than helpful
I almost don't want to tell you about it because it means you might get there before me and buy my PIE! Have been a long time fan of this place since it was Mrs. Inksetter making 5 or 10 pies to sell at the shack at the corner when I was a teenager. You owe it to yourself to drive out here and give these pies a try. Fantastic flavour and a great opportunity to support a local business.
