If I could give a 0 I would. I don’t like to bring restaurants down (especially coming out of a pandemic) but what we experienced was not nice… firstly we were told to sit anywhere, which is strange because after we sat everyone else was seated nicely. We then had no server come to us for at least 20 minutes. People around us were served and given drinks before us. We had to ask a server to put in our order… we were then met with a rude server who didn’t even introduce himself and asked what do we want…. Food was mediocre… porter was amazing and light… I don’t like to say it’s a race thing … but …. Felt like it :(
Been meaning to try this restaurant for a while, this place has surpassed any expectations. The steps of service were absolutely nailed through and through. The food was incredible. The beer is incredible. The pizza is legit. Well balanced, the choice of bartender server showed thru. Pure professionals. I was extremely pleased with the visit. A must check out if you spend some time in ancaster. Mike and heather did an incredible job
Such a great restaurant, food is outstanding, love the building and atmosphere they’ve created. Always looking forward to my next visit here.
Lovely space, the food and service was fantastic - just what we were looking for on a cold Sunday afternoon
I was there to have a beer and snacks with my colleague. The local beer is very nice and we had a pizza and equally enjoyable. The staff are courteous. If you like you can even buy a bottle of beer home.
It has been a very (very!) long time since my mom has had a dinner out. Tonight we decided to give it a go, and the first place she wanted to try was BB. Top notch, caring service. The food was delicious (we have had their take out many times) and the atmosphere clean and comfortable. I can't thank you enough for making this an easy, enjoyable (long overdue) night out.
Warm atmosphere filled with old and rustic decor, friendly service, small but good variety of beer and cocktail options, amazing white pizza and pork belly. Definitely a must visit after a hike for a refuel!Would love to see more beers and a custom flight option for the future, maybe a dessert option or two!

Really enjoyed the unique food. Service is good and friendly. Very old historical building which is a great place for dining. I didn't try their beer so I cannot comment on their product.
Surpassed our expectations! The food was wonderful all around; beautiful presentation; made to perfection, with (clearly) very fresh ingredients. We had the fries with truffle aioli, the full belly salad, the smelts and the brussels, and they were all so tasty. We also had a pizza that did not disappoint, thin crust and generous on toppings. The beer was also good quality; fun to try a variety on our first visit; their flight looks as good as it tastes.
