Food-2 in rating. Recommend establishment to improve seasoning. There was hardly any taste in the food. The tzatziki sauce seemed to be watered down and not like greek yogurt texture. The grilled meat was dry and needs basting sauce. Pricing not fair for food quality. Read through some feedback here, am not the only one who was disappointed with this purchase. I hope improvements are made for the sake of future customers. This review is objective mainly to improve food quality since Mediterranean food is one of the best cuisines. Service- Rating is 3 because staff are friendly, courteous, hardworking.
We have loved this place until recently. The tzatziki sauce has become watered down and seems to be in a smaller container. We pay extra for more but it's no longer worth it. The chicken skewers are also much smaller and after ordering we were still hungry. Like most places now, they ask for a tip on the pay pad, and we gave one. We regretted it since we got so much less food. Nice people, but very disappointing
We visited on Victoria Day, the first time here and we won't be back! We originally wanted to go to Montfort, having a craving for Greek food but they were closed for the holiday, so we thought we would try here. My husband had chicken souvlaki dinner and I had the gyro lamb wrap. He ended up with food poisoning and since that is all he has eaten that day and the next since he couldn't keep even water down for 36 hours after, I figure it was the chicken, since it was the only thing I didn't have. My wrap had HALF the amount I get from Montfort, Jimmy the Greek or My Buddy's but cost $2.00 more and his was $4.00 more! DO NOT EAT HERE!
Food was so good the first few times we purchased, but the taste wasn’t the same as before,the rice was very dry and the meat was also dry and missing salt. Hope it changes for better again cause their food use to be so good.
Want to thank the team and a owner for such a hard work and best service and most delicious food ever we had. We ordered catering from Alexandros on Saturday and it was the best decision we made. The Order was Chicken and pork souvlaki dinner for 8 people. souvlakis were so fresh and well cooked. The best thing about them is, you can substitute your items to anything. very easy going people and responsible.Again appreciate you making our Saturday night the best night.Well done, owner
Tasted just alright, nothing special... but super expensive considering there also was no olives in the Greek salad??? Girl at the counter also had long hair and didn't even have it tied up, not even in a ponytail. It was just free flowing every which way. I wonder how many people get a side order of free floss with their food. Overall I am unimpressed.Edit:. Just lost a star because after eating just a salad with some gyro meat, I feel like complete garbage.
Amazing catering experience!We ordered takeout for 12 people and the food was amazing!The portions were huge and everyone was happy with what they got.I highly recommend Alexandro's for anyone looking for quality Greek food!Joe.
I would just like to thank Alexandros Restaurant on Upper James for ruining our dinner tonight. I placed an order at 4:49pm through Door Dash, as I have done many times, for pick up between 5:35pm and 5:45pm. Not delivery, but pick up, so that they wouldn't have to pay any service fees.At 4:54pm, I get confirmation from the restaurant that it is ready for pick up. I called the restaurant, to let them know that an error has been made and that I'm not supposed to pick my order yet. I thought that maybe they would apologize and offer to remake it closer to my scheduled pick up time.Instead, the lady that answered the phone blamed Door Dash for forcing them to confirm the order and then proceeded to yell at me when I said that I'm not picking up cold food. An employee in the background even confirmed that my order was for pick up at 5:45pm. The lady told me it was my problem and that I have to call Door Dash before rudely hanging up on me before I could say anything.I have ordered from them many times and thought that their food was really good, but this was not the friendly customer service that people talk about. I will not be going back and will no longer recommend them to anyone. Go to Ios in the same plaza instead, their food is really good and their staff is friendlier.I really hope that it wasn't a manager or owner that I spoke to, because that type of behaviour was unacceptable.
The food is really fresh and amazing taste. The owner is awesome and I could tell she created the family atmosphere at the store. Great value of food. Definitely going back..
Just happened to catch this spot when I was coming out the beer store. Had the lamb gyro dinner and my daughter the chicken gyro on pita. Both were amazing. Fresh, tasty and authentic. I will definetly be back.
