The food is amazing, the warm atmosphere with the owner personally greeting you is a real treat. I would personally recommend their chocolate menu to anyone, even people who are not fans.
Not that I wouldn’t recommend but more that I would recommend you ask about how items are served. Was dissatisfied with my Stilton mushrooms as my toasted baguette was the lining, no longer toasted just mushy bread. Menu not accurate either. Items listed no longer available. Server was awesome!
We absolutely loved our first experience with our 6 children! The kids portions were perfect and the sundae at the end of the meal was a big hit! All of our Appetizers, Entrees, and Dessert’s were great, I would suggest the Salmon myself. Our server was very nice, I wish I could remember her name, Thank you. We will be back for sure the next time we are in town.
So yummy! The food is tasty and is a must if you are a chocolate-lover. I had a fantastic chocolate cocktail and my sister really enjoyed her lava cake for dessert. The menu is really interesting and they have daily specials. The kids menu is also really great, the price is excellent and the offerings are good! My toddler loved the pesto pasta with her chocolate milk and of course a sundae for dessert!
York road has been a family favorite for many years. Last weekend they did an outstanding job hosting my bridal shower in the back room. Everything was delicious and fresh, great ambiance and service! The chocolate fondue was to die for, reminded me of the old days at the other brothers. Thank you all for everything.
Wasn’t too sure on arrival what the daughter in law had booked from the outside it looked at little rustic roadside cafe. That’s the only negative in this review. The greeting from the staff was friendly and professional. The menu was different and obviously a step away from the usual corporate same old same old boil in the bad or out of the freezer. The homemade pasta was superb,the son had steak with chocolate gravy , don’t be put off it’s amazing. The place is brilliant with kids nice touches like they get to drink and eat as much as they want . The restaurant and bar area has a great atmosphere. Well worth a visit and it won’t break the bank very reasonably priced
Was in Guelph from out of town. I haven’t been here for a few years due to the fire and the pandemic. It was every bit as wonderful as I remember! Did not make the same mistake I made the first time I went here… tonight I left room for dessert ?. Thanks for a delicious meal and a great evening out!
Great service with a chocolate touch to most dishes. Very good food and the most creative meal I've had in the area..... Great meal I'll be back..
Service was exceptional and all staff were very welcoming and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised at the prices for the quality and portion sizes. All of the desserts and milkshakes were amazing and the atmosphere was very nice and warm. I highly recommend York Rd. to anyone in the area. Without a doubt my new go to restaurant.
