Great on tap beer selections prices are competitive for beer. Food just had an order of fresh cut fries were good could have been hotter and larger serving. Not busy that day service was good given that we were pretty much alone on the patio
Just ordered liver and onions for take out. I specifically said gravy because they had prviously forgotten to include. My wife picked it up. NO GRAVY. Liver was tough and chewy. One piece of broccoli couldn't be chewed. Paid over $4 more then I did last March. Will not be ordering anything again.
No redeeming qualities. Went back to give it another chance after terrible experiences. They were out of half their beers. They forgot what I ordered so I had to wait while the rest of my table had their food. Bill took over an hour after eating to come. Service throughout was terrible. Food was passable but nothing great.
Nice atmosphere and good service. Due to the pandemic the menu has become shorter but still there was a good choice.Food was excellent. Loved the Yorkie. Had a great time.
What a great little pub. I’m not from Guelph but we stopped in & loved the experience. To the negative Emma D if you always get great service where’s your positive reviews ??? Only post when things are negative pretty sad. Nice pub. Thx.
Went in late on a Monday evening and despite being, unfortunately understaffed and an error in stock, everyone tried everything to make our requests happen. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere is beautiful, and food was delicious. Especially the fries, holy moly! We will definitely be returning! Great first experience
Nice English pub feel with exposed beams and all the rest. Patio is comfortable and covered if English weather is in the mix. Food was excellent but some of the beers were out, no so much fun. Also, the nachos were a little thick and not at all salty. I prefer a lighter, crunchier and saltier nacho. Can't fault the trimmings and dips though.
We haven't been to The Shakespear Arms in quite some time, but the wife and I thought we'd dine here recently. The atmosphere is great, warm and cozy and you really do feel like you're in a rustic tavern. Pretty neat.Everything about our evening was great. Only minor complaint is that it took some time for the waitress to greet us and take our drinks orders. The food quality and portions were good. We found the calamari to be a little too crispy, but maybe that's the style here. Jambalaya and Chicken Wrap were great. We'll come back next time when there's Live music.
Authentic Pub feel and great food. I haven't been here in years. I am happy this place hasn't changed a bit. Staff was friendly and food came out in good time
Wonderful lunch visit with my son yesterday in an uncrowded space at a table for two by a window where warm sunshine poured through. Light lunch took over 1/2 hour to prepare. Luckily we had lots to talk about. Food was tasty.
