HEALTH AND SAFETY WARNING watch your food when eating here. served me old rice and nasty old CHICKEN. the chicken was missing 3 quarters of the drumstick also and they didnt belive me when i complained so sad. The owner is not to be trusted. Not ok.
We were going here for years before it became Mir zinger chick and now we don't go here anymore. The food tastes different, the portions are smaller and the prices have gone up. They changed the butter chicken which I used to love and now it's just a small container of chicken cooked in tomato soup (at least that's what it tastes like) that costs an arm and a leg
The girl working on Sunday is really rude and unprofessional . It was very unpleasant having a conversation with her. She claims that she is the daughter of the owner and gives this rude attitude towards customers.(which later I found she's just one of the staff). The owners are actually very accommodating and thier food tastes good that's the reason I went there but the girl working on Sunday ruined my day.
The butter chicken in the poutine does not taste like butter chicken. It had no spice or flavour to it at all. The chicken was ok, would not order form here again.
Great place. Clean place and very reasonably priced. The quality to very good. I was surprised with how nice the fries were. and the chicken pieces were just perfect. crunchy, juicy and tastey. I've enjoyed fried chicken from Vancouver to Halifax and from Turkey to Egypt to Saudi to Oman. This place is definitely in the top 10 list.
Just tried here for the first time and wish I could give a 4.7 and give a 5 since they don't deserve 4. I had the biryani with garlic naan and the hubby got the zinger burger with a side of fries, onion rings and gravy. We may have gone a bit overboard. Hehe I loved the biryani and naan and have enough for another meal and snack. The perfect amount of heat for me. Hubby says he'll get the spicy version of the burger next time. The burger is actually chicken strips and the bun was really fresh and good. Lettuce was a bit wilty and he didn't rave about the gravy- why the 4.7. I tasted it and thought it was great. I'm excited to try other menu items. The owners are so friendly and kind. We enjoyed just being with them.
Ordered their 1lb of veggie pakoras and was very unsatisfied with the product. There was way more batter than actual veggies and the batter itself was very dry, brittle, burnt tasting and not fresh at all. Might have been better with fresh frying oil. Their pakoras were a lot better before. I threw out half of this batch, very disappointing.
You know when you're expecting one thing and it's something else? That's what happened. Lol. This was our #1 location and it was sold two weeks prior to our visit. Met the new owners (sorry for spelling - sounded like- "Meer"? and his wife Ann) and they were lovely! Food was fresh. Portions were smaller but sufficient... but the new containers were cute. Didn't feel like the butter chicken was worth the price anymore. They changed the recipe so it has more of a tomato base ? which it still was yummy and has a bit more kick than the old recipe!!! Alas... My children wouldn't eat it now. I was looking forward to that thick, creamy butter chicken so was a little disappointed. It was still good! Their samosas were yummy and the same. Popcorn chicken still a family favourite!!! And the masalas chickpea was a little mushier than normal but delicious!!! Plan to visit again to see how the other items vary - I used to love and rave about EVERYTHING on the menu... So.. We shall see!!!

Zinger Chick is way better than KFC, very juicy chicken, delicious macaroni salad, top notch customer service if you have not tried or went to Zinger Chick I recommend it. Supporting this small business during the pandemic is giving back to our community of Guelph. I will be going to Zinger Chick for now on because of the great food, great customer service and fairly priced for fried chick and sides.
