The staff was so friendly while we ordered. On the way out my son was carrying his meal out and as we stepped outside he tripped and dropped everything. He was so disappointed and upset. The gentleman inside was beyond helpful and although I offered to buy another meal he empathized with me and said don’t worry I have children at home too and these things happen. His kindness and genuine goodness blew me away! He deserves everyone’s business. Not to mention the shawarma is outstanding!!!!
Been going to Helmand Kabab in Guelph for years. I used lo live right behind the plaza, and would order at least once a week. Everything here is so delicious and filling. I've taken many a friend here and they've all thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
The food here is delicious! I had the chicken shawarma wrap spicy, it didn’t take long to prepare. Once I took a bite, the flavours bursted from all directions. I was intrigued by the taste, quality, and combination of flavours. The chicken was delicious and cooked well in curry style, the dressings were tasty and the veggies were adequate. Will def be back for more
Called one day ahead to book a table for two to dine in on Valentine’s Day. I mentioned that I am taking out my wife on our first Valentine’s together. The restaurant manager said that space is not an issue.On Valentine’s Day I called one hour before going there. 20min before arriving to the restaurant we ordered our food on the way to minimize the waiting time. We had to wait another 15 to 20min for our food to get ready.Imagine what we got after 40min of placing our order and 1 day before calling for a dine in table?*4 take out boxes of foam with some plastic cutlery for kids* All banded by the government for environment friendly reason.I was like seriously, I brought my wife out for the very first time on our first Valentine’s Day. Why can’t you give in the same plates that’s on your menu and advertising photos.The waitress said because of COVID19. I wished they had told me over the phone that they can not provide proper dishes for dine in. So I could save our 35min drive and a bad experience on our special day!We will never go back to this place and I wouldn’t recommend to anyone else after such an experience.
I've been going to this restaurant for the better half of the last decade and I didn't encounter any problems. My latest visit however was poor. I specifically asked for my order to come in separate boxes, and when I received the order two parts of my order were put together and only one was separate. I'm not usually one to complain, but I felt as though this small request should've been fulfilled to the T. I went up to ask for my order to be separated and the person behind the counter said I didn't say that the order was supposed to be separate; even though I did. Essentially, the person behind the counter tried to make it seem like it was my fault. He then turned to his coworkers and said something in his own language, and it seemed like he was mocking me. Otherwise, the food was good and met the same standards I've come to expect. If this employee isn't trained on how to handle customer complaints, I might never come here again. 3/5.
The only kebab place I've tried in Guelph and it's so good! Meats are tender and flavourful, ingredients are fresh and all made to order. It's up to par with some Afghan restaurants I've tried in Toronto and the GTA. Would definitely order from here again!
My family has ate here many times since they opened their restaurant and we have always had great service and really good food. Their chicken Sharma is really good and their poutine is great as well. If you are thinking about trying their food I suggest you do.
Best Kabab House in Guelph. Me and my friends always go there and enjoy the food. They have good customer service and friendly staff. If you reading this review, visit the Helmand Kabab House once. And give them a try, you'll not gonna be disappointed. Thank You ?
Ordered 2 MyWay meals and it was amazing. Chef went out of his way to organize everything in a catering style and even gave us extra salad. Definitely will be back
