Best sushimi in Guelph imo. But order not filled exactly as asked. Probably smarter to order right off the large menu.
We are being generous with the stars. We got the party tray, 104 pieces for $108.50, they were edible, too cold dry, not well made, not properly rolled, soggy, they would not hold together if you used the chopsticks to deep in their cheap soy sauce and so was the wasabi, I liked the picked ginger, at least was not of the dyed kind. Please stop with the avocado as an ingredient for sushi, unless the customer ask for it stay away, it's one of the least japanese ingredients. The good part was that it was ready when they said that it was going to be ready, 2 of the 3 stars are for punctuality.
This embodies your friendly neighbourhood sushi joint, complete with a diverse menu of rolls, sushi, sashimi, appetizers and entrees. Pricing is average but quality is above average for the area. Polite staff and charming atmosphere, though geared mostly for take-out. My go-to for sushi in Guelph!
Delicious and fresh sushi. No fishiness at all. The rice was warm (it does matter!) The unagi sushi were so delicious. Our favourite from Party Tray B was the spicy white tuna rolls. We'll come back for more!
Very pleasantly surprised. High quality sushi (even near closing), reasonable pricing, and good portions. Only criticism is that the salmon sashimi was much too thick (biggest I've ever seen). Four pieces was the same amount of fish I'd expect from a 6 or 8 piece sashimi dish. Would much prefer if it was cut into thinner portions as it would be more tender and easier to eat in one bite. Overall still highly recommend.
The people in service are so nice, they always prepare the food fast, and the quality of the sushi is consistently great. It's priced fairly. Absolutely a favourite spot, I'm a regular at this point.
I tried the pan-fried beef udon. It's worth your money
By far the best sushi in Guelph, hands down. Fresh, quality fish, amazing hand rolls, and everything fresh made to order, from a tiny little take out only hole in the wall.
Sushi was high quality but the portion sizes were small given the high prices.
It was my first time at this restaurant and I was quite excited about trying it. My dinner was quite acceptable. We tried a party platter with a variety of rolls. It was excellent value. Based on the taste, freshness and overall quality, I would give 4 our of 5 stars. Why not five stars, because there are other sushi restaurants in Guelph which I prefer. Would I recommend this restaurant? Definitely.
