This place is a little out of the way but well worth seeking out. The food was delicious, service was very friendly and prices were reasonable. Lots of options on the menu. The pho, green curry and chao bistro salad were tasty. We will return.
This place is truly an unpretentious hidden gem that serves very authentic Vietnamese food. I have tried their Banh Mi and other Viet dishes and have never been disappointed.I've been here multiple times and many times JUST for their freshly squeezed Sugar Cane juice (tip: Add pineapples)!I was so glad to see they had Bo Ne (Sizzling Plate) on the menu! Bò né is Vietnamese Sizzling Steak and Eggs breakfast plate. It is Vietnam’s version of steak and eggs. Steak with generous amount of butter, eggs, pate and Vietnamese sausage on a sizzling plate in soy sauce and eaten with a baguette. This is the very few restaurants where I have seen this dish on the menu so I had to get it.
My family found this gem after we went snow tubing in Kitchener. The pho broth was very flavourful and small size pho portion is generous. We even bought some take out so my parents could try as well. My on regret is that we live too far from Chao Bistro otherwise it will be our go to restaurant for Vietnamese food. Great food and wonderful service! We will be back! ?

Delicious and fresh Vietnamese food at a reasonable price point! We had great pho, bun bo hue, banh mi, spring rolls and tasty sugar cane juice. The owner is lovely and this is definitely our new favourite spot!

Eat here a couple times a month or more. Best pad Thai in guelph! Everything on the menu is great. I would definitely recommend.

Very fresh & tasty food. Highly recommend, tried the Pad Thai and some Pho. Pho had a very tasty broth pad thai was also quite flavorful for me it wasn't as spicy as I thought I'd be. ordered it spicy but it was still very delicious. The bubble tea is by far my favorite in town, real proper bubble tea not like the others in town which taste like powered stuff. Staff was very kind service was great
