Messed up order. Ordered a Manchurian chicken lunch special with large soup. They gave me a regular size machuriam chicken and a large soups and charged me accordingly. He did not even acknowledge the error it was made. The food is decent here but would not survive if it was in the GTA. The person infront of me was also upset becuase of a screwed up order and did not even apologized for it. The size of a large soup is for refence and it is pricey for it.
In general the food is good if you know what to get. As for a constructive criticism, my advice to the owner is to go one extra step in maintaining the place, for example a new paint job will not cost much but will make the place look more fresh/clean or at least few paint touch ups to cover few scratches and maybe few runners on the floor. Also a simple smile to the clients will make everyone happier. Thank you.
I heard so much about Manchurian chicken and it was ok at best.It was not soft as I expected but on harder side.Have not tried any other dish.It comes with plain rice.
Nice cosy place for some quality Chinese food. Reasonably priced, generous portions. We loved it.
You guys won my heart! ❤It's been long I was craving for Halal Chinese food with Pakistani fusion and I'm overjoyed to explore your restaurant. It took a chance of ordering food for the first time and that on my anniversary and I couldn't be happier.I ordered Chicken Chilli, Schezwan noodles, spicy prawns, and hot and sour soup. Everything was delicious! Everything was fresh and warm. Great portions as well.I really wish Chilli chicken was sealed packed like soup was, as it spilled on way (via uber delivery) and the most heartwarming "Happy Anniversary" card from the team got spoiled. Never mind tough. The complimentary mango lassi as an anniversary gift was cherry on top.Thank you so much Blue Chopstix Team ?
We used to order from this store during COVID. Initially, the restaurant was fine, the food was good, but slowly the behavior and attitude of the staffs changed as their business started picking on. Several occasions the foods delivered were not of good quality. We tried to stick with them because there is only one Halal Chinese in Guelph. Finally, we decided not to go this restaurant ever, when this folk dumped huge amount of chili in one of our orders (chowmin). It is worth trying restaurants in nearby city like Milton, Cambridge/Kitchener.
I can't fathom why there's so many good reviews other than they have been curated to try to boost sales.First of all, it's NOT remotely Hakka Chinese. Second, the place seems ripe for a sanitation violation. Third, the service was abysmal, and I don't use that word lightly. I tip well when it's appropriate but the place was dead so no excuse. Only one other customer (who spent a few minutes complaining about their food before leaving.) It appeared to be staffed by a single person, who was slow to greet us, slow to respond, didn't offer to or bring drinks of any kind, and disappeared for lengthy periods of time.Fourth, the food was overpriced and had clearly been premade and then warmed up before being served. If I could rate it zero stars I would, but Google won't let me.Just yikes.
My experience has always been amazing with Blue ChopstixMy office is nearby to it and getting a quick lunch is easy SPECIALLY with their Lunch Combo offer of $10 that includes a main course + hot and sour soup + spring rollI am always full with the quantity and taste of the food ❤️
Date visited : Friday December 04, 2021Overall Rating for experience : 4/5Comments :First time visiting this resto. Group of 4 eaters.Service : 3/5At the time of our visit, we were the only customers dining in. Only 1 person working the dining area. Vaxx passport required, which is fine with us. They do have a QR Code for accessing their menu, but they also have a folding paper menu available as well, but it seems the QR Code accessed menu is more up to date than the paper version.Food : 4/5for our group of 4 we ordered : Chili Chicken (gravy) $13.49, Ginger Beef (gravy) $14.99, Thai Crispy Chicken $16.99, Shrimp Pad Thai $11.99, Szechuan fried rice $12.99. Something odd I noticed is that if you wish for a dish without gravy/sauce, they will charge you extra $1.50. Which kinda caught me off guard to be honest. All of us enjoyed all the dishes. The Chili Chicken had quite the kick of spice for us. I wasn’t able to taste the Ginger beef tho, since I have gout so is off-limits for me. But the others enjoyed it, nothing left of the Ginger beef at end of meal. Thai Crispy Chicken was the favorite dish among the group, tho there wasn’t enough of it for a group of 4. The Shrimp Pad Thai, seemed kinda lacking in ingredients? Didn’t seem like a traditional pad Thai. Was expecting crushed peanuts and they put whole peanuts instead. Szechuan Fried rice was also a favorite among the 4 diners.Drinks :we didn’t order anything fancy, we ended up consuming 3 bottles of cold water to go with our meal. Water came served in chilled glass bottles from Ikea if I recall.Portion Size Value for Money Spent : 4/5most of the dishes were reasonable in price for the portion size, except for the Thai Crispy Chicken, for $16.99 was kinda expecting more. The dishes that the Szechuan Fried Rice and the Shrimp Pad Thai were served in were deceptive to the eye, more food than we thought, we ended with those 2 dishes as take away.Worth repeat visit :Yes we shall likely be returning again. Looking forward to try other dishes.
Not worth spendingfirst I ordered tandoori fried rice and very disappointed because of rice not even semi cooked and it went to the garbage bin.later sometime I went again. But, this time I ordered chicken and shrimp fried rice. I will tell you the truth, that chicken on fried rice looks and taste like hell. I would not imagine operating a restaurant with that kind of quality and taste food. Again it went the garbage. Its not worth spending because its high priced and below par quality and taste.I would never recommend anyone with my experience.
