Today we opted for sea food and what first came to our mind was Red Lobster. We were not mistaken. Had a feast of the best sea food we had for quite some time. For starters, we ordered New England Clam Chowde. It was buttery, creamy with just the right thickness. For our main course, we ordered their Sea Farer's Feast which consist of lobster tail, oven broiled shrimp in a wine and garlic sauce, golden fried breaded shrimp, grilled scallop skewers with rice and veggies. They were flavourful and perfectly cooked. We also tried their Shrimp Linguini Alfredo, tender shrimp in a creamy garlic Alfredo sauce with a hint of wine on a bed of linguini. And of course we were given Cheddar Bay biscuits which was garlicky and salty which gives that classical flavor. On top of these, the staff were really great! Five spoons out of five. ?????
Went for our anniversary. They asked if anything celebrating and we told them.Food was Luke warm. Being from the East Coast, I realize I will not get seafood like down home. But seafood comes from the ocean, which is salty, so seafood should be cooked in salt water. Ocean salt or table salt. The crab was so watery and small. It was a disappointment. Lobster was good. Shrimp and scallop were overcooked. The stuffed mushrooms now have rice for filler and not mich seafood as previous. Lobster topping (for mashed potatoes etc is basically now just a flavored cheese with a piece of small lobster. Also dissapointed in that. We declined desert. Therefore nothing to celebrate our anniversary :(
Have been going here for over 20 years and never disappointed. One comment I would say was that the biscuits were undercooked but that usually never happens. All you can eat shrimp Mondays is by far the best seafood deal in town!Fresh and delicious!
Went for dinner last night. Waitress seemed not to be familiar with the menu. Had to ask for a glass for my husband's beer. The meal was not hot and was dried out. Have had the special several times, ordered take out during covid times, it was great. Will be a while before I try eating there again.
Excellent! Scot was amazing! Their starter bread or biscuits was delightful ? unfortunately I had to go all the way to Sudbury just for this.. please come back to the Soo. We miss you?
Lobsterfest time !! On Friday May 6/22, I had an amazing Maritime lobster tails dinner with an excellent shrimp & lobster linguini in a creamy lobster sauce...loaded with seafood & so flavourful! Lobster tails cooked to perfection .. considering I have been to the Maritimes & had lobster there many times over the last 48 years, that is a true compliment to this meal ! Huge portion, enough for my dinner the following night! And those cheddar buns are truly delectable! My spouse, not a seafood lover, had the Wagyu Bacon Cheeseburger platter which he keeps raving about 3 days later, it was the best and I think the awesome fries were fresh cut! Beer and white wine served very cold, just as we like it! Our server Rebecca R. , such a pleasant & attentive server totally made our evening most enjoyable! I was even more impressed when the duty Manager walked around the dining room & she chatted briefly with guests to enquire how they had enjoyed their meal, etc. We will definitely be back before the end of this Lobsterfest!!
The Cajun Chicken pasta was really good. Our server was extremely nice as well. Food took a bit to show up but it was also very busy. The Lobster Punch is really good as well. Highly recommended.
I really enjoyed my dine in experience. Service was friendly and the food was exquisite. Very pleasant and family oriented. Fine dining at its best.
Booked a reservation since it wad Good Friday and we expected it to be busy.Got our table and placed our order ( 4 people in our group) drinks came quickly as well as bisquits. The refills on the drinks not so quickly, the server asked if we wanted refills on the soft drinks and water, then took over 20 minutes to bring them to the table. The food however took over an hour to be brought to our table, then only 2 peoples meals came, with us being told the other two would be out shortly....one of the meals that came out was the unlimited shrimp, so the first refill of shrimp was ordered right away. The other two meals came out 20 minutes later ( both were just fish and chips) The fish in these meals was not cooked, it was extremely greasy. Also the baked potatoe with the shrimp was not cooked through. We asked to see a manager, when she came to the table, we explained what was happening, she offered to have the food remade, which we declined since we had already been there for an hour and 45 minutes. She did remove the two meals from our bill. While waiting for the bill to come, the refill of shrimp was brought to the table ( 50 minutes after requesting it) and after the table had already been cleared of utensils etc.I understand this was probably their busiest day of their year, however this location could not handle their business... they did have several empty tables ( I was told by their staff, that they were not taking any more walk in customers ( this was at 6pm) the manager told us that they had stopped taking "take-out" orders ( this was at 6:45pm) and while we were waiting for our food, two other tables got up and left as they got tired of waiting for their food orders.
Terrible takeout service. Waited almost an hour even though I called in. I was dismissed twice when I asked for my order. Finally not giving up they went into the kitchen and put it together in 2 minutes. But with no buns. I’ll never go back!!!!!
