Was not too impressed with my experience this time. I usually LOVE the Buddha, but was disappointed in the lack of a menu (it has definitely shrunk due to covid, which is understandable). The fact that we were placed in a back room where they had to move a curtain for us to enter the room... and it was still full of Christmas decorations! We had random staff walking past and noticing, and would come in and take something off the wall or out of the room. Even they noticed that it was weird. One of our servers said they are hoping to expand the menu within the next few months, I hope they do.. bc pizza and appetizers isn't enough. The appetizers ARE amazing, but I wanted a whole meal.. and not to be shoved at the smallest table in the corner of a back room that obviously hadnt been used in months.

I loved the patio lantern drink, so that's Highly recommend. Also as I am vegetarian I had ordered pizza which was the best, the crust the taste everything was perfect. Loved it. Good service and reasonable price.

We try to eat at Laughing Buddha whenever we’re in Sudbury. Great food with lots of options for people with dietary restrictions. We love their chick pea salad. Service was slightly slow but it was busy due to a Wolves game.

I want to love this restaurant - great atmosphere (at least in the bar area - the back dining room seemed bleak), and the menu was varied and interesting! I was drawn to the fire pit on the outside patio, but it was just too cold for me to attempt that. The food was great! I ordered the antipasto platter = excellent! And a pizza - also very good. Now... the service. As good as the food was, that's how bad the service was. During my visit (approx one hour - 90 min), I had three different servers. None were exemplary. And I waited close to 45 min for the pizza which arrived only after I managed to catch the eye of a staff member, who then checked the kitchen and returned with my lukewarm food. When I requested the bill, and a takeout - the person returned and dropped a cardboard container on the table and left. I was finally able to settle my tab, packaged my food, and leave. Recommended for the food - but maybe order ahead and take it home. You'll be happier.

I was stuck in Sudbury overnight for work, and rather than eat at some generic chain place, went looking for a local restaurant. After my shocking realisation that Sudbury eateries seem to close at 9pm for some reason, I wandered about until I found Laughing Buddha. Great vibe, cool music. Decided to check it out.I had the Cool Beans appetizer and a Miso Bowl with falafel. Both were excellent in preparation and presentation. I tried a locally brewed beer at the server's recommendation and was quite pleased with that as well. Great atmosphere with pleasant, knowledgeable staff. If you are ever so unfortunate as to find yourself in Sudbury, do check out this sweet little beacon in the gloom!

Wasn't sure if id like this type of restaurant, but was it ever great food , excellent service. I'd def go back again.

We were travelling from the GTA through Sudbury and our group was so happy we found The Laughing Buddah. All four of us had a fantastic dinner with amazing service! The large outdoor patio is beautiful. Highly recommend this quaint cozy restaurant in Sudbury.

This restaurant located near the downtown Core was recommended to us. It didn’t disappoint. It’s a trendy restaurant catering more towards the vegetarian clientele, but being a carnivore I was pleasantly surprised. It has a very eclectic menu with many interesting choices. Well spaced indoor tables and a great patio make this a Covid friendly place. Definitely recommended.

My family visited in early September on a weeknight for dinner. We waited approximately 20 mins to be seated at a table. We placed our order and ended up waiting more than an hour for our meals. We have two small kids (5 & 8 yrs old) who were very hungry and agitated. I asked our server twice to see what the problem was but we continued to wait. Finally, we had enough and I asked to pay for our app & drinks that had come out. There was no offer to comp us for these items. I barely got an apology from our server.

Awesome patio, best in the whole town. But the service and the food are a joke. After waiting 45 mins for a small plate of nachos it was like eating cardboard with cheese. Three other tables around us were upset and angry with the negligence of the staff as well. Pretty rough
