I will start off by saying that the person at the cash was super friendly hence the 2 stars. The cashier suggested the daily special which consisted of chicken fried rice and one item so I chose crispy beef at the price of $14.75 not including tax and of of course you need something to wash it down with so I got a bottle of water which brought the order up to a grand total of $18.93 including tax. The food was just OK and abit too salty for my liking, the portions were quite a small for that price range when your only getting rice and one item plus a drink. A drive down the street to the next Chinese food joint can get you a one item combo meal which includes fried rice one item one egg roll and a drink for about 13$ with bigger portions. Mojos was extremely clean and had a nice atmosphere, I may give it another shot in the future to try out the rest of the menu.
DELICIOUS! Mojo's Chinese food provided a great service. The food was ready quickly and filled with flavour. I would especially recommend the Crispy Beef with Peanut Sauce and the House special fried rice. The lady at the front was very kind and even called me back to double check something on my order, which was greatly appreciated! I showed my family this restaurant and we will definitely be back!
Food always good! People always friendly! At little pricey but won’t keep me away.
Kind staff and halal food is a big bonus! Downside is that it barely tastes how you expect it to taste. The chicken balls breading tastes like fortune cookies, the egg rolls were small for the price and also tasted strange. For how much they charge, I expect it to taste like most other places. If you can only eat halal food, stick to beef fried rice. Otherwise, maybe skip on this one.
Super friendly staff and amazing food with generous portions.. ordered Thai rice and garlic rice along with black pepper chicken it was awesome, the owner also offered us complimentary veggie spring rolls which we loved with the dipping..must try for Chinese food lover , the taste is a quite unique and authentic
I ate the same dish and combo quite a few times and its becoming increasingly difficult to predict how sweet or saucy the food would be. My first few experiences were really good as it used to be a great take out place but lately not impressed by their food! I hope they improve
Mojo’s excellent Chinese food ? Would recommend to anyone who loves Chinese food. Excellent service. Delicious food and very friendly staff It’s the best place in town
Mojo’s Chinese is one of the best halal Chinese restaurants we have in Ottawa! The food is always delicious and fresh, the sweet and sour chicken is amazing sweet and juicy and crispy, and the egg rolls are delicious and full of flavour I could eat a dozen easily. Mojo and the staff are great and always friendly and helpful. I have never been disappointed with a meal from here, everything is fresh and delicious. Always looking forward to a great meal from here.
We have been ordering from Mojo's since they opened. I really like their yummy Cashew Nut Fried Rice, House Special Fried Rice, Spicy Szechuan Chicken and Crispy Beef. We always order their mouthwatering crispy egg rolls. It is a must try. As always they give good quality portion sizes. Friendly welcoming staff.
Low food quality. We ordered the rice & noodle (house speciality - Beef, Chicken & Shrimp) It is below average taste, no flavour and not really a Chinese restaurant experience. You could cook much better food at home using a ready made sauce. The front desk was nice to talk to but the customer experience with their customer service was bad. They are also overpriced & I basically won’t go there again.
