Disappointed. I tried to make a reservation but was told that they don't take reservations the day of. No problem. I asked when would be the best time to come in to ensure we could be accommodated. We are a group of 12. 8 adults and 4 children.I was sure to let them know of the size of the group. We arrived at the Ogilvie location and were turned away. The reason being that they could only accommodate groups of up to 8.I then suggested we break down our group into 2 groups of 6. The manager said she couldn't accommodate due to staffing issues. I asked her if two families of 6 were to come in, would they be turned away?Your establishment lost well over 250 dollars in revenue as a result!While we were trying to find another location, ironically 2 groups of 6 entered the establishment and did not exit.We were lucky enough to get accommodation at the Innes location.It doesn't make much sense to me that we should be turned away especially after being forthcoming about the number in our group..
I’d like to start by mentioning that my family was frequent customers of this restaurant and we will not be coming back. Today we went out as a party of 12 parents, grandparents and all the kids and grandchildren and they told us they couldn’t accommodate 12 people. As we were leaving a party of 6 went in and a party of 4 went in and they were seated? that’s 10 people , so why were we turned down ?? Also too mention two of our guests were babies and two were toddlers and the restaurant was completely empty. I’m confused as why they couldn’t accommodate us but could let in other parties that added up to the same amount as us. Makes absolutely no sense and we will not be returning. We went to another east sides near by and they took us no problem and they said they accommodated parties up to 15. So not sure why we were denied but multiple families could go in after and get seated. We even offered to sit at separate tables and we would have separate bills. Would not recommend this place or the manager who clearly doesn’t know how to manage a store.
Beautiful, newly renovated restaurant with delicious food and upbeat staff.
Amazing customer service and friendly staff. Very quick and easy cut side pickup, don’t even need to leave car! Big portions too, more than enough for a meal with leftovers.
Filling meal at a reasonable price. Safety protocols followed well. Thankful the automatic door opener worked; but without help getting to the door would have been very difficult.
I am a great fan of ESM and have been for years.And eventhough I have been served by many good waiting staff, Matthew (my waiter this every) was THE best by far!!! He is very polite and very attentive and a super addition to the ESM staff.Thank you Matthew for making my day so much better!Gail White
Good food. Staff is friendly and helpful. This last visit was a bit slow on service but not for the fault of the staff. It was busy. It was still a good visit.
Our server was excellent. The food was pretty good..
We just had a birthday party there for our kids. The staff was so great and helpful in every possible way with our orders, cakes and making the space we needed. If I could give 10 stars I would. Thank you East Side Mario’s staff. ❤️
Our first try of take out from East Side. Took two pasta dishes and extra home loaf. Not bad at all. A decent option for when you don't want to make dinner.
