I stumbled upon Woody's only to discover there are mixed opinions about the quality of their food. I'm glad that I gave them a chance despite the poor ratings.I tried their poutine, and loved it! The fresh fries, cheese curds topped with gravy- it hit the spot! The only issue was the long wait for my order. I waited roughly 30 minutes for a small order of poutine. If I didn't follow up with staff, my wait would've been longer. The food wasn't a disappointment so I may go back.
Oh how this is used to be my spot years ago not anymore $32 for a Austin burger, a small sweet potato fries, and a veggie burger. I could taste no garlic in this mayo brisket wasn't flavorful neither the patty just didn't hit but filling. Sat in and the staff were fine and all just didn't appreciate the cook touching his hair and dealing with the food.
Pour one out for the old Woody’s. I am so disappointed! Went to dinner here last night and they must have changed owners in the last year or two. The burgers are no longer handmade and definitely come frozen. Never had the option between 4oz and 7oz before. This used to be the spot for good burgs but not anymore. Living in the Long Branch area for 10+ years and came down from Mississauga after moving. I am so sad this place doesn’t live up anymore. Cutting corners on quality of the food is never the answer. Won’t be coming back :(
Friendly staff bit that's about it. Burgers and toppings have shrunk drastically. The prices have gone up. Not the same it was years ago. The bun is half the size. The fries are half the size. 32 dollars for a burger and a beverage. Can't say I will be back anytime soon. Would expect more for the price. Over all great tasting but not the same it was a year ago.
Delicious and the service is amazing
Second visit. First was probably five years ago. Visited at lunchtime on a Sunday a couple of weeks before COVID restrictions lift. Pretty quiet. Two people. We each got burgers (Boom for me, custom for my friend). Shared fries and onion rings plus two fountain drinks. $50 after tax and tip.Food was good. I wouldn't make a special trip to go back but if in the neighborhood and looking for a tasty non-drive through burger, I would certainly visit again. Brioche buns, smash patties, nice toppings. Friendly service, clean washroom. Fountain machine was not carbonating but they fixed that and remade our drinks. They also serve canned and draft beer. Given the price of a fountain drink, I'd probably just go for a beer next time.
Their chicken tenders are super delicious. They have the perfect crisp on the outside, tender and yummy on the inside ?Their servers are friendly and cute, and it’s always so nice to converse with them while waiting for my food.P.S. TIP YOUR SERVER if you decide to eat at this amazing diner.
Absolutely disgusting food! Reading reviews, I thought this place would be amazing. Came in Friday Jan 21st around 7-8pm, walk in there is 3 teenagers, 2 on grill and 1 on cash. Made a large order for my family paid $90 for four burgers 3 sides and a drink. Burgers were ALL under medium rare, completely pink, made sloppily all toppings falling off before we got to eat. And fries had no seasoning and the large poutine we ordered was missing gravy and brisket topping. Spent $90 for disappointing experience. I will be calling my bank and asking for a charge back, something I HAVE NEVER DONE! DO NOT TRUST REVIEWS!
Amazing veggie burger, so many fresh toppings, with bun toasted to perfection! Sweet potato fries cut in house every morning... so fresh! Staff is so friendly, great vibes.
Amazing food! Bison burgers are the best and the sweet potato fries, perfectly cooked. Service is great always friendly and welcoming. Can’t wait to come back
