Great deal on four frozen pies to-go! Perfect to have in the freezer when are looking for a quick easy meal and are a great portion per person. Our favourite was the braised beef rib. They also have other savoury and sweet pastries and a freezer of dessert pies (apple, berry crumble) and small pints of kawartha ice cream!
Their only location (for now) is in a small plaza next to The Queensway. There are several booth seating which is perfect for small groups. Freshly baked savoury pies on display as well as frozen varieties. Reasonably priced especially with the amazing buttery crust and plentiful fillings. I had the stilton beef and it was incredible. Highly recommended.
Pies are great, initially I thought the price was high but it honestly was filling and very well made. Such great quality. I had the pulled pork pie and recommend trying it, it had great flavour and the pie crust was delicious.Excellent selection of flavours. Additionally a lot of different dessert pies to choose from too. Great service, well kept place.
We have been going to The Commish since theyopened the tiny little location just down the streetfrom where they are now. Never had a bad pie or dessertfrom The Pie Commission ! About 3 years ago, I toldmanagement that one of my pies was a bit spicy and I didnot order spicy so they offered me 3 free pies of my choice.Who does that these days ? They are amazing ! Best piesanywhere. I have British in-laws who know a bit about meatpies and how to make them and they even say that the PieCommission have the best pies.....so there's the proof.Great menu, tasty desserts and fair prices. You can't go wrong !!
If you’re craving something savoury and heavy this is the place to go. The pies are some of the best I’ve ever had!The frozen pies are well packed and come with baking instructions. If you order different kinds of pies, they come with different patterns or spices on top so you can tell them apart.
I ordered a catered lunch for about 40 people for a major staff event at work. From the moment I emailed Janelle, I was impressed by their responsiveness and helpfulness. I appreciated her patience with sorting out our large order and arranging delivery. When the delivery was made, the driver was on time, as well as very kind and helpful! The food arrived hot and fresh - and most importantly, delicious! Each order was individually boxed, with the staff person's name on it. It made serving lunch very easy. Amazing, tried the chicken n mushroom nice big pieces of chicken, flaky pasty and delicious taste. Not use to eating savory pies but if ur gonna try for the first time be it from here. Even the desert pie is ?
Absolutely amazing. Got the pulled pork pie, a poutine and a plain butter tart, and I would eat it almost everyday if I could. Would definitely recommend! And will definitely be back!
A long time favorite for sure!!!The handy way they package their hot pie for lunch or dinner is awesome! Eat your savoury pie just like a burger.I was in Georgetown and saw the Pie Commission van parked behind a business. When I turned around to go back and see where I could find a Pie for lunch it was gone. I called the main location and was given the name of the place their van was at and although they only had frozen pies I had to get some to take home for dinner and find something else for lunch.If you ever see a van that says Pie Commission "bloody good pies" go and get yourself one of those pies. I promise you wont regret it!
