The vibe is so good at this place. I went with a friend for a few beers and some food. A few tables were occupied but everybody there was merry. Our server took good care of us and made sure she was checking if we were doing okay multiple times. The food did take a bit of a time to arrive but the service offset it. Their crab cakes are delicious so please give it a shot!
Had the pleasure of dining at Galway Arms on Sunday, March 13, 2022 for lunch. The service was great. The dishes we had were the Fish Tacos, Bourbon Burger and Shepard's Pie. The fish tacos were really good - well battered fish with yummy guacamole. The poutine wasn't the best I've had - shredded cheese instead of cheese curds and the gravy was a tad salty. The Burbon Burger was massive - hubby had to work to take a bite ?, but he says it was delicious and the flavors of the burger were on-pointe. The Shepherds Pie was not as impressive. The meat in it appeared to be just a burger pattie that wasn't chopped up. There was a couple burnt side pieces in the dish as well. The side of onion rings were good though. All in all, we would eat here again.
We were quite frequent customers before Covid but post have found the service and food to have 'lost focus'.I.e. having sent back lukewarm wings 2 visits in a row, 10mins for someone to come to the table, etc.Don't know the cause but it doesn't seem they have someone at the helm full time. We're fans - make us fans again!
Wow I guess this place is doing great through the pandemic. I am trying to give them my business but every time their online ordering is down and the phone line is always busy. Good riddance.
Had a few drinks while waiting for our meals to take on the boat. The crowd on this day was a bit annoying and loud. The drinks were weak .. order beer or wine. Not a fan of the loaded nachos but the fried shrimp were a hit with DD.
We enjoyed really good food (Irish breakfast was delicious), and friendly service. The Guiness was exceptional... Irish music played in the background. Thought I was back in Ireland. Support your local businesses. Galway Arms won't disappoint.
Order : Potato fries and Vegetarian QuesadillasQuality : fries were crispy and taste was ok (4/5). Quesadillas was really good though it was very cheesy. If someone is not a fan of cheese then please ask the server to make it less cheesy.Cost : not so costly. We were two people and it's cost us 25 dollar including tip and taxes.Ambiance : we sat in a patio. Very good arrangements in winter. They have heater outside for each table. Very comfortable.Service : it was good. Server was very nice and polite.
Always great.Their Christmas hams are also amazing
It was the first time I visited the restaurant. Nice interior, friendly environment. Fish and chips dish (I asked for mashed potatoes instead of fries) was great. Nikita is an amazing person, very polite, demonstrating professional skills and creating a pleasant atmosphere at the place. I liked non-alcohol cocktail. And I liked the Christmas decorations. I will definitely come back with my friends. Thank you!
Amazing place ! Always friendly and professional staff! Special thank you to a Waiter -Nikita! He is a real sport! Super friendly, quick service! Patrons inside the pub are very nice too, warm, friendly environment ! Good kitchen, and my favourite onion rings of course!!
