Since the beginning of the pandemic I've been using take out services way more than usual. So far from all the Swiss Chalet locations, this one is by far the best. Specially talking about Palma, she always receives me in such a great energy, elevating the experience. Highly recommended place.
More often than not, Swiss Chalet in general has good service. This location did not disappoint. The dining area is a little bit tighter than some but that is a very minor detail. The service and the quality of the chicken was still great.
I have ordered dozens of times from this place in the past and it has always been good. Unfortunately my last 2 orders (pick up) have been really disappointing. Last night I placed my phone order at 6:27pm and was told that it would be ready for pick up in 15 minutes. Arrived at the store a few minutes later and paid for the order at 6:32pm. I was in the store a week ago to pick up the same order. The 1/2 rack of ribs was tiny. When I went in yesterday and paid I mentioned it to the employee. She assured me that she would let the kitchen staff know. My order was handed to me at 7:09pm. I opened the rib container and was surprised to see another small 1/2 rack of ribs. Not as tiny as the previous order but still small from my experience with the company. A manager was at the cash and I told him about the size of the last portion and showed him this one. He said "5 bones, thats the portion size". I said it looked like 5 bones from a 10 pound pig. He repeated "5 bones is the portion size". Swiss Chalet has obviously decided to raise prices and lower portions. What a shameful display from a company who's product & service was previously an example to the rest of the industry.
Absolutely lovely girl with blue hair at Takeout today. Had a great conversation and the food was wonderful! Amazing service; the Takeout Counter never fails to leave me smiling.
Quick gluten-free salesman's lunch in the car. Food was served hot and fresh. Service at the takeout counter was professional polite and efficient. The chicken and vegetables tasted delicious and I'm ready to carry on with a busy working day thanks to a good lunch.
My boyfriend and & eat at this location 1 or 2 times a month. Service is always very friendly from the hostess taking us to our table to the waitresses. The food is always fresh and cooked to perfection.Keep up the fantastic work!
Terrible service last night! It was shocking how little attention was paid to the 4 of us. The order was wrong despite having repeated it and gotten a lot of "yes, yes, yes" without writing anything down. Please do not repeat 3 times as a substitute for writing the order down (it's annoying at the time and insulting when you get it wrong).The service was ssooooooo slow I have never experienced this anywhere in months. The server missed getting utensils, and when she did, she threw them onto my mother's dessert plate! No refills for an hour. The bill included the items missed and the $2 discount didn't match the loss of the food which was not received.Overall, the server had no waiting skills and the manager sat around a lot instead of staying upright and helping out.Also the restaurant was so cold that we had to wear scarves and jackets at times.
Dined on a Friday later in the evening before 9pm, we thought they closed at 10pm. Took us in right away. Once we realized that they were closing soon, we felt bad and said we would leave. But our server said it was no problem at all and took care of us right away. Her service was excellent. I haven’t had service as good as hers even at 5 star restaurants. Refilled drinks without asking, she was quick and made great suggestions about the menu. She had a great attitude and sense of humour and did not make us feel rushed at all, even though they were closing. Her name is Hongya and she is a huge asset to the company. Thank you for the excellent service. Definitely will be coming back!
We always order here for takeoff. Unfortunately since the pandemic started the food quality and speed of service has gone down. The only good thing is they recognize this and issued a store credit. Hopefully one day they'll be back to being a 5 start favorite
The double leg dinner was perfect. Nice moist bun and chicken pieces. The salad was fresh. Can't ask for more. Oh and service was good too at the order counter.
