I was here on Good Friday to get the family fish and chips. The lineup was crazy. It took 1 hour to get our food. I ordered 5 Halibut and chips, with 2 Cole slaws on the side. When I got home and plated it up, it was still crunchy. Have a look at my pictures and push the Like button.Best Fish and Chips on the Lakeshore. This is a family run restaurant and has been there for over 40 years that I now of. Everything is fresh and the chips are nice and crunchy. They also have one of the best gravy around. Small out dated looking place, but great food!
Worst service EVER TODAY! Used to get Take - Away here,... 3 NEW patrons served before me, patiently waiting 10 minutes, over passed, I don't understand? I know they won't suffer from losing my $38,... but just sad, in these times of economic devastation, to be treated so poorly,...
This places has been around for decades n the fish and chips are reslly good
First time trying this spot and wow it did not disappoint. Almost 50 year old place and prices likely haven’t changed much since then. Called and placed order, was ready for pick up in 15 mins. Great value, and large portions. I bought two orders of the Halibut with fries, coleslaw and a side of onion rings, they also tossed in a gravy to try. Batter and everything was delicious! I highly recommend, this local spot!
Went here a couple of times in 2018. 3 years and countless fish and chips places tried later, they’re still my favorite spot!
HANDS DOWN BEST FISH & CHIPS ?
2 1/2 stars , Drove a little extra distance and was hoping for better but disappointed - not awful but not that great. Maybe an off night. Fries under cooked , vinegar coleslaw was okay but brownish colour. However the fish tasted fresh and was cooked well enough. Batter a little heavy and a tad greasy, but oil they use is still fresh. Decent value but likely won't be back.
