This was my first time going to Mummy's. I really enjoyed the oxtails and jollof rice. I also added the jerk chicken. Great customer service and clean restaurant. Maybe next time I will get to taste the meat pie. Everything was delicious. Thank you for the great experience!
Walked in to order jerk chicken. The woman said she didn't think it was ready yet. After checking in the back she confirmed there was some and asked which rice I would like. Placed my order and she comes back out 10 minutes later with my food. As soon as I open my food it's steaming like it just came out of the microwave and my jerk chicken leg is hard and dry as a bone. I think I got yesterday's old jerk microwaved with rice and peas. 16 bucks for old reheated food.
Mummy's Afro-Caribbean Kitchen is amazing! We had the jollof rice with jerk chicken. The jollof was flavourful and the jerk chicken was juicy and not dry. We also had the ogbono soup with pounded yam, which was great as well. Mummy was very kind and sweet to us and made us feel at home!
Ordered jollof rice with fish. Rice was perfect, fish was a bit dry.
'Best rice I've ever had' said my husband today re the jolof rice. Jerk chicken was also excellent.
This place is it actually amazing! I've eaten at a lot of Caribbean or Afro-American restaurants before and by far this is one of the best! Portion sizes are amazing as well as the actual price you pay for your food and the overall freshness how fresh your food tastes and how everything is cooked to order really pushes the point forward. I've tried their jerk chicken and a lot of their other stuff and the jerk chicken they made was actually really unique! It's not like your usual jerk chicken but it was way better! The lady that works there was super nice and they play African TV shows or music videos while you eat and I personally enjoy it!But they're really doing an injustice to themselves, you guys really need a bigger sign over by the main road so more people can see this amazing restaurant while passing by! The sign you have is very small and it's hard to see if you're driving.I recommend this place to all of my friends and everyone in the area if you're looking for something cheap and filling while providing you in an authentic experience!

I ordered the oxtail and a rice dish. It was great and had a nice spicy flavor that I enjoyed.
