This café is a gem and highly recommended. The owners and workers are lovely and really welcoming each time, superb customer service.I’m always impressed with their pastries, very tasty, fresh and they have a juice machine which gives you freshly squeezed Orange Juice! If you like gelato, then you must give these a try. They rotate their flavors and I’ve seen some that are unique. I love to grab me some Dulce de Leche scoops on those hotter days.I’ve also had a panini here for $10 and it was delicious. You get a choice of 1 cold cut and 1 cheese with your choice toppings of veggies but they can customize and give you 2 cold cuts half & half for the same price! The fresh cheese, veggies and choice between mild or spicy made it really personalized. LOVED the finished productOverall a great experience and a stellar small biz!
Please just take a careful moment to go through some of these 5 star reviews. After only reading a few of them you'll quickly realize they're totally fake. If you don't believe it then by all means try one of the extremely stale, hard as a rock croissants or other old grocery store bakery dessert. While the gelato does taste alright, it's easily 2-3 times more expensive than any other gelato around. Do yourself a favour and give this place a pass. I was really excited to have a cafe in my building and I've given this place more than one chance. Even when friends and family come stay with me they'll go despite here my warnings and are surprised at how terrible it is.
Just had a croissant and it was amazing. The pasty was flaky and light. If you are looking for a pastry and coffee shop to visit, try this place out. You won’t regret it!!!
Exploit their workers and don’t pay them their full pay! Gelato is good but does not justify the price point. They cut the mold off of their meat and put it back in the fridge. This place is a complete health hazard and I’m surprised they are still up and running.
Best espresso in town! So worth the money
This place is confusing to me. It cost $40 for three servings of average gelato (priced weren't posted anywhere otherwise I wouldn't have bought it) and their baked goods are always stale. Everything is over priced and the place is always empty except for the same few people always hanging around. Wouldn't recommend. Staff is friendly though.
This is what i got for 11$. I wish i could them negative stars. I ordered panini with 2 topping, cheese and mayo sauce and paid 11$. Even they put very less toppings. would never go there.
Something Sinister at La Sirena.I’ve been to this seemingly cute little café several times. While the food and coffee seems lovely, although overpriced & often out of menu items such as (orange pekoe tea) there’s a hint of something sinister.I saw a hiring sign the other day. I myself am so far from interested in working in this cute little dive BUT I did pass along the info to several people. Here’s a little bit about their hiring process as relayed to my by a pal(or lack there of):-They hired on the spot asking very minimal questions (seems a little desperate for hires. could be school? could be a sign)-No experience needed!! So they seem to really care about the quality of the service their customers are getting.-Offered a 2h 8-10 am training shift (no paperwork to be paid signed yet)-when asked same day via text they did not provide any info on: wage, pay schedule, tax forms, frequency of work-they did though ask my friend to follow their social media?-fast forward to 20 minutes prior to their first shift. they asked the important questions once again- this includes MEANS OF GETTING PAID and the owners response was that they had already answered and a reminder about the IG. And when pressed further about important details to be discussed re: hiring the answer was:“I’m headed into work and I’ll answer this later”.Sorry sweetie. No need. You don’t get to behave like an ill put together business and then make demands of people whom you’ve not even got on payroll yet.A prospective worker asking important work related questions, isn’t something you seem to care about- or alternatively you care to not answer them.Good luck filling the position though! I’m sure you will have folks flocking!
Authentic Italian gelato with lots of flavours to choose from. Absolutely delicious and with great service too.
Unfortunately I have to walk past this place every single day, only gross greasy cigarette smoking guys hang out infront of this place. Making it extremely uncomfortable for me to even walk in to order something- the patio is a complete disgusting mess , unfinished looking and junky furniture. The plants are all dead and terrible looking making the whole corner look like a complete mess! There are bars sticking up from the patio ledge that are ugly and unsafe- the pasties sit out every single night and look dry as hell. Hopefully one day sometime good will go in this space
