Nice croissants (especially the almond ones!) and great ambiance, but expect to pay a premium
Duck salad had no Duck confit in it. All arugula, 2 cherry tomatoes & 4 tiny slivers of duck.Quiche was so small for the price. Spinach was strong. When I tried to call the restaurant about heating instructions, it went to voicemail and said the owners hadn’t connected yet. When I tried to connect them by email ( 3 X) , it bounced back.Never again!Hope someone can recommend another quiche place in the Kingsway. Wonderful one in the Beach that we love but too far to travel!
I love this place. Great staff food and coffee. The negative is the total use of throwaway cups plates and cutlery. It's pretty unsustainable. I take my own to go cup.
Wonderful cafe that serves great drinks and a selection of some of the best pastries around. I believe the dough is flown in from France, and you can really tell the difference, as the almond croissant is the best I have had outside of France. The coffee is freshly ground, and the hot chocolate is superb for younger (and older) palates. It can get quite busy, but the service is fast and friendly, and conveniently there are entrances at the front from Bloor and off the rear parking lot.
I forgot to leave a review when I visited here, but we first visit a couple weekends ago in the afternoon and the espresso was delicious. I also loved the tart that I got (blueberry and cream I think). And the woman working behind the counter was really holding down the fort by herself! I know from experience that it's tough to get customers' orders ready, answer questions, ring them up, and have great customer service at the same time, and she was great at it!
Just discovered the cafe last week and I must say the lattes are delicious. Tried the almond croissant and it was exceptional. The staff are very friendly. So happy to have found this little gem.
Lovely coffee shop with delicious baked goods. Tried both the almond croissant and blueberry scone, neither disappointed. Buttery flakey with perfect almomd filling for the croissant, great crumble and not too dry for the scone. Really nice live edge bar with stools in the window to sip and watch the street pass by.
Better than Before!?! After walking in the other day, I realized that this is no longer Jules Cafe. (Not necessarily a bad thing) Jules always offered a broad assortment of traditional Viennoiseries, but now the selection seems to have grown and things went from tasting very good to excellent! Even the coffee! Quality tends to suffer when places change brands/management but that is clearly not the case here!
As first-time customers of Cafe Rouge Patisserie, we were surprised and delighted to discover their great quality selection of pastries and more. Meeting Rima was a pleasure! My wife and I departed with a bag of delicious treats and a smile on our faces looking forward to going back soon.
First time here today meeting a friend for coffee. The baked good here are delicious! Such a cute cafe, lovely people working there. Will be back!
