We visited as part of Summerlicious, and immediately decided we needed to go back to try out the rest of the menu! This quintessential neighborhood spot is a true family-run spot. Super friendly owners take care of you with freshly prepared seafood (and drinks!)You can taste the quality and love that goes into each meal, and they still take the time to get to know you. No wonder they've been around for as long as they have!
From the decor to the food to the atmosphere, we loved it and we met the owners and they were lovely and extremely friendly. The food was really delicious. Will definitely come back for more.
First time eating at John’s Fish ‘N’ Chips I have never had Fish and Chips that even come close to what they serve here !!!The food smelt so amazing I couldn’t wait to get back to work to eat itThe taste was unimaginably deliciousI got the halibut battered with fries and coleslawEverything was so fresh and cooked toPerfection !Had a coworkers first time trying fish n chips and even they were blown away by how great this tasted!Not only was the food outstanding but the staff here are extremely friendly, polite, and respectful, They showed great customer service and make some amazing food to back them up!I will for-sure be getting this food more oftenIf I could leave 100 stars I would !!!!
Tried this today, ordered battered Halibut and Haddock with chips. Fish is delicious, well seasoned and crispy. The chips were by far the best we've tried and their tartar sauce is great. We learned it is a family owned restaurant for over 40 years. Service was friendly and fast, will go again!
The best fish and chips I've ever had. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant and the food is always prepared fresh. Their tartar sauce is amazing. The staff is always very friendly as well. You can't go wrong by choosing to come here.
We tried this fish and chips place in our neighbourhood. My friend ordered the Halibut fish and chips and I ordered the Grilled Halibut with rice. The battered fish was tasty and delicious. It was lightly battered and the fish was fresh, moist and well seasoned. The grilled fish was not as tasty but the rice was good. Next time I will probably order the fish and chips. The place is clean and service was fast.
Best Calamari in the city! I have tried to find a property cooked calamari for long time in GTA and everywhere it’s rubbery. Here was perfectly cooked like the calamari you will enjoy in the Mediterranean or a Greek island. Bravo!Everything we tried was perfect. This is a family business and owners are friendly and very nice people.
Just discovered this great little Greek Restaurant. We had an amazing fish and chips.I love that there is an option of grilled, breaded or battered. Maria and her husband (who is the chef) do a great job.
Best fish and chips in the city! The batter was light and crispy and the fish was perfectly cooked. The staff is also very friendly!
UPDATE:I am a new regular of this fabulous family owned restaurant. I can’t get enough. I love sitting down to enjoy my usual Halibut n Greek Salad with fries. I give Maria and Bill (the owners) 5 STARS & ALL THUMBS UP for the best meal I've had in ages. THank you Maria for your warm heartfelt welcome and hospitality.The restaurant is sparkling clean, reasonable prices (for high quality products), and the food is cooked perfectly to measure.I am ecstatic about finding this Toronto West Etobicoke GEM. I ordered Halibut, Greek Salad, Chips, Gravy and seasoned rice. The Fish N Chips were cooked perfectly, crisp, clean, not greasy or soggy. The Tartar sauce is home made and excellent. The Greek Salad dressing is also homemade and perfect. I ate everything up without realizing how quickly all the food disappeared off my plate.I don't feel groggy, tired or the least bit bloated - like you would normally after a big meal. I feel energized and ready to get to work and on with my day. I can't wait to go back and try every seafood item on the menu. My next order will be the Calamari!!
