I know prices go up. But my usual order just went up over 30% You'll be losing my business. Another place on Scarlett Rd. only raised prices 10%.
Haven't been to this restaurant in over 40 years but so happy to see it is still around! Loved eating at Hong Kong Gardens as a kid in the sixties and seventies. Such happy memories! For that you get 5 stars! Cheers from Atlanta, Georgia.❤️
Hands down the best Chinese food in Etobicoke and Mississauga that I have found... I drive 30mins each way to pick up food from here, and I've been going here for the last 30 yrs, can't beat it... : )
Love it , best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time Chicken soup guy delicious nice thin breading tender chicken the lemon sauce is really good the breaded shrimps are to die for Cantonese chow mein and their combination plates are great if you don’t want a whole bunch of some thing we don’t order from anywhere else super fast and great prices
Today I ordered from these guys for the 1st time and although the delivery was very quick I'm not sure if whoever was packing at knew how to read. I had ordered general Tao's chicken It doesn't taste like that I have ordered Orange chicken what I got was something in white sauce definitely not Orange chicken I ordered spicy peanut chicken no peanuts and no spice and last but not least chicken fried rice the only dish they got correct. Although the price was good getting 3 out of 4 incorrect it's kind of a problem for me. Will not be ordering again.Look what I found! They added Orange chunks with the peel on under the chicken!!! WTH???No wonder it tasted bitter!!!I had give 2 stars now with the new discovery down to 1 ?!!!Boy did they mess up my first-time and last ever order from them!!!????They just cut a full Orange absolutely unbelievable and unacceptable!!!That's not ORANGE CHICKEN!!!AM SO MAD NOW!!!?????????????????????????????????????????
My family and I have been ordering from Hong Kong Gardens for years and it never disappoints!! All of the dishes are delicious. Our favourites are the Cantonese chow mein, vegetable fried rice, spicy deep-fried tofu, and lemon chicken. The spring rolls and egg rolls are amazing as well. This place has been around for over 70 years and I hope it's around for the next 70 :) It's that good.
Very disappointed to write this review! We have been ordering from Hong Kong Garden (with more regularity than I’d like to admit) since 2019, when our regular place closed for renovations and never re-opened.Tonight we ordered again. Picked up the order and returned home (30 minute round trip). Missing from the order were the three egg rolls to be included with the combo plates. The missing egg rolls are not the problem, it was the way they chose to deal with it. This is the second time an item was missing. The first time was all of the chicken balls from our Christmas Eve 2020 order. For that, I returned to the store a day or so later, as I was told they were to busy to deliver the missing item.I called to let them know the egg rolls were missing. I would have been more than happy to just get the three egg rolls with our next order, but nope. I was told he would need to check with the kitchen. He came back and told me I didn’t order egg rolls. I said the egg rolls are included with the three combos plate. Yes, that’s true, let me check. No, the kitchen says they put them in the bag.Of course the kitchen is going to say they put them in the bag. I explained that order totalled $80ish dollars, why would I call to pretend we didn’t receive three egg rolls worth what, less than $5? It just didn’t make sense. He said he didn’t know what to tell me, the kitchen said they put them in. So I’m lying to you about egg rolls? No answer. I said we order from here all the time and if three egg rolls was worth not having our business anymore, so be it. He said ok bye. I said ok, bye. And that is the end of that!
A staple in the neighborhood! Its great old school Canadian Chinese food. I'd give it 5 stars but it's not high end...nor should it be. It's perfect the way it is.
Sticky overcooked noodles densely packed and squeezed into container…it was like we were eating mashed potatoes. Horrible and flavourless. Avoid……Fried rice was cooked in old burnt oil., the rice grains were literally charred.
Called to place a pick up order and they rudely said it was too late they were only open for 45 minutes … 45 minutes pretty sure not that’s to late for some fried rice!
