AMAZING! Everything we ordered was so delicious. Fresh ingredients and clearly a lot of time and care going into each dish. Highlights were the soft shell crab, ginkgo salad, unagi sushi and delightful staff. 10/10 will go back to this stunning restaurant. Don’t skip the sour plum roll!
Went during anime north and got my food to go. Unfortunately because of how busy it was due to anime north a lot of the food was not hot, the chicken skewers were cold but still tasted really good! Highly recommend the croquettes.
Food was absolutely amazing. Everything was not only good to taste but the presentation was done with care and attention. Highly recommend this treasure of a place
Service, decor and atmosphere were all fine but I was really disappointed with the quality of sushi. The ume shiso and spicy tuna rolls and uni and scallop sashimi were tasty but I wasn't impressed with most of the nigiri or sashimi selections. I think the restaurant is good at preparing other traditional dishes, with the miso soup being delicious but for the price and quality, the sushi wasn't worth it for me. There are better or the same quality for less at other places.
This was the worst sushi I've ever had. It tasted worse than airport sushi. It tasted old and not fresh at all. When I let my server know this she seemed confused but proceeded to tell me they pre cut the avocado's and put them in the fridge....Don't waste your money here.
As a Japanese, I could tell this was one of the most authentic & delicious Japanese restaurant I’ve ever been in GTA.Service, atmosphere and the taste…. Everything was amazing. Pretty impressed.I would 1000% recommend this wonderful place☺️❤️
Expensive but worth the quality. Staff was helpful in explaining what the dishes were and was very accommodating.
We decided to try out this omakase course on a whim. We were suppose to give 24hr notice but they were nice enough to accommodate us with such late notice. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There was a lot of variety in the food. Pudding, sea bass, duck breast, Lamb chops were all outstanding. This would easily been on top of my recommendation list for sushi until we actually tasted the sushi itself. Sadly the sushi was not very good, below the quality of a good AYCE place. Which was a shame since I'd recommend this place for omakase otherwise. Perhaps we were partially at fault since we gave such a late notice but that doesn't explain why the rest of the omakase tasted so good. Maybe we went on an off day so give it a shot.
Booked this restaurant for my pre wedding dinner party. The location is great, and the aesthetics are amazing. Felt like walking into a true Japanese restaurant in the early 40s. I wasn't board then, and have never been to Japan then or now, so don't ask. It just looks great. ?
Great food! I've always wanted to stop into Ginko but with it's slightly out of the way location I never got to it. I was out towards the airport the other day and decided to stop in for dinner. It is inside the Delta hotel and you can park for free. Go through the parking gate and get a ticket, bring the ticket with you to the restaurant and they will give you a voucher to use in the gate on the way out.Very traditional setting, we were greeted at the door by a woman in a beautiful kimono. Neat koi pond right at the door. The food was fantastic! I actually had 2 rounds of the Hotate Gai, which is a cooked scallop appetizer with a ginger sauce that was SO GOOD. The sushi rolls were well rolled, the avocado in the salmon/avocado rolls was perfectly ripe. Can't wait to return! Will definitely return anytime I'm near the airport.
